Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

This day is personal to our family. My wife is Métis, and her grandmother survived residential school.

We honour her, all Survivors, their families, and the children who never returned home.

I’m still learning. Today is a time to listen to Survivors and Indigenous communities, reflect on the lasting harm of residential schools, and carry that learning beyond September 30.
