Trust is rarely built in one moment.

It’s built through the repeated little signals people see over time. The way your brand shows up in the language you use. It’s the consistent feeling people get when they land on your website, your social, your emails, your packaging, your space.

Consistency is about creating familiarity that people start to recognize you, understand you and eventually, trust you.

That’s where strong branding does its work quietly. If your brand feels inconsistent across the places people experience you, it might be time to look at the foundation.

Sometimes brand clarity issues rarely announce themselves dramatically, but they do affect trust.

If you're constantly tweaking, have hesitation, or that feeling that your brand makes more sense when you're talking about it than it does online, these are signs you need to pay attention to.

Your story is powerful and we'd love to help connect the dots so you can share your brand confidently.

I’m honoured to be judging the 2026 RGD Branding Awards, a competition that recognizes the best in branding and identity design from around the world!

This is a full circle moment for me! Last year I won an RGD branding award and I told myself that my next step would be to judge the awards. This year I was asked to be a judge and I’m so incredibly excited!

Here’s why judging matters to me: Branding is one of those disciplines where the work gets celebrated without always being understood, and I think that gap costs people, especially the smaller studios and the solo designers who are doing genuinely great work without the agency name behind them.

When I sit on a jury I get to look at work the way I believe work deserves to be looked at: for the thinking and story behind it, for the clarity of the idea, and for whether it holds together from all ways of looking at it. That’s what I want to bring to this.

The RGD has always felt like a community that takes the craft seriously, and being asked to help uphold that standard is something I don’t take lightly.

I know what it means to submit work and wait. I know what it feels like when someone who really sees your work finally understands it. If you entered this year, I can’t wait to see what you created!

Learn more about the awards & submit by June 12 at rgdbrandingawards.com. Make your mark.

The strongest brands don't come from forcing a personality onto a business. They come from what is already true, giving it a clearer stronger shape so it actually connects to the people you are trying to connect with and serve.

This has always mattered more to us than trends ever will. If your brand feels a little disconnected from the depth of your work, it may not need reinventing. It may need revealing.

If something feels off, get in touch and we can talk about it.

Brand confusion is not always loud. Sometimes it’s hard to differentiate and it sounds like second-guessing, or could look like inconsistency.

Sometimes it’s that private feeling of knowing your business is stronger than what the brand is currently communicating. It’s a feeling.

That discomfort is useful as its telling you something. It usually means your business has changed, but the identity, message, or system hasn’t caught up yet.

If you want clarity, you can do something about it.

In 2026, brands aren't remembered by feeling more perfect, they win by feeling more real. They have a unique story and truth behind them. They stand out because they are different.

At Chapter 35, we are here to help shape brands that feel true to the people behind them, the work they do, and the clients they’re here to serve.

That’s the kind of work we love most and the clients we love helping the most. Contact the studio if your brand is ready to feel more aligned with the story behind it.

Your business has grown. Your brand just hasn’t caught up yet.

You’re thinking bigger, making different decisions, and going after more.

But your brand is still speaking to an older version of you.

And that’s the disconnect and what’s holding things back.

This is where we come in. We refine, reposition, and evolve your brand so it matches the level you’re already operating at.

Because growth shouldn’t feel like a stretch. If you think you’ve outgrown your brand, you probably have.

We'd love to help. Book a consultation right here on our website. https://www.chapter35.ca/work-with-us

Your marketing team can be talented, capable, and full of ideas, but if the brand foundation is unclear, everything takes more effort than it should. Design decisions take longer and campaigns feel harder to align. This is where creative direction matters.

For growing businesses with larger teams, fractional brand support gives your team strategic guidance whithout needing a full-time creative director. This is something we offer.

Contact us to hear more about Lianne coming to support your business as a Fractional Creative Director.

If people are still confused about what you do, who it’s for, or why it matters… the design isn’t carrying enough meaning yet.

That’s what we care about most. Not decorating a business, but clarifying it.

When your brand is built well, people don’t just admire it, they understand it. And when they understand it, trust comes faster.

Just remember, pretty is not the same thing as clear.
