I recently joined Holly Penney Show for a really honest conversation about identity, confidence, leadership, and the connection between how we feel and how we show up in the world. We talked a lot about how style is about so much more than clothes and how it’s really about alignment, self-trust, and feeling like yourself again, especially through different seasons and transitions in life.

One of my favourite parts of the conversation was unpacking the stories so many of us carry about staying small, waiting for permission, or feeling disconnected from ourselves. We talked about practical ways to reconnect with confidence and authenticity and how the small choices we make every day shape the way we lead our lives.

I’m really grateful to Holly for creating space for these conversations, and I hope this episode leaves you feeling empowered to take up space and step into the next version of yourself. 🤍

There’s something really powerful about putting on an outfit that actually feels like you... The one you put on and feel comfortable, confident, and like yourself in.

I think a lot of people assume style confidence comes from buying more clothes, but most of the time it comes from understanding yourself better.

I can’t tell you how many people I work with who have closets full of clothes but still feel frustrated getting dressed every day. They keep buying things hoping this next piece will finally make everything click… but then it sits in the closet with the tags on.

That’s a big part of what I talked about in my newest blog post.

We put so much pressure on ourselves to “figure it out,” but without the right tools or clarity, getting dressed can start to feel exhausting instead of enjoyable.

When you understand your colours, your shape, your style personality, and how you actually live your day-to-day life, shopping, getting dressed, and feeling like yourself gets easier.

If you ask me, that kind of confidence reaches way beyond your closet.

I think a lot of us assume confidence means having a super trendy wardrobe, always putting together interesting outfits, or owning lots of statement pieces.

However, most women I work with aren’t looking for that.

They want:
• to open their closet and know what works.
• getting dressed to feel easier.
• to stop buying clothes that sit there with the tags on.
• to feel comfortable in what they’re wearing without second guessing it all day.

A confident wardrobe usually looks pretty practical. It’s the jeans you always reach for because they actually fit properly. It’s knowing which colours make you look more awake and having outfits that work for your real life instead of a version of you that only exists in your head while online shopping at 11pm.

A lot of confidence comes from clarity. When you understand what suits you and why, everything starts to feel simpler.

Edmonton finally gave us the green light to start dressing like spring is actually here ☀️

One of the biggest mistakes people make when transitioning their wardrobe between seasons is packing everything away too quickly. Spring dressing is all about mixing pieces instead of doing a full closet swap overnight.

Think:
• skirts with sneakers and a basic tee
• lightweight knits layered over dresses
• denim jackets instead of winter coats
• boots paired with softer spring fabrics
• keeping a few neutral layering pieces handy for those “why is it 4 degrees this morning?” Edmonton days 😅

This is also the perfect time to start rotating in colours, fabrics, and silhouettes that feel lighter and more energizing while still using pieces you already own and love.

Your wardrobe doesn’t need to completely change every season. The goal is to make it work smarter by styling pieces differently and creating more outfit combinations from what’s already there.

If you need help going through this change, send me a DM and let’s come up with a plan that works for your lifestyle!

There are moments in this work that remind me exactly why I love what I do, and being part of Mother’s Day makeover and fashion show was one of them. 🤍

I had the privilege of walking an incredible mom, Maya, through a full Style Foundations session and helping her find outfits that truly reflected who she is and what she’s about. More than the clothes, it was about seeing her light up, hearing her story and watching her radiate confidence, joy, and a sense of feeling seen.

Experiences like this remind me that style runs so much deeper than outfits. So many mothers spend years pouring into everyone around them, often putting themselves last in the process. To witness someone reconnect with themselves in this way is honestly such a gift.

Moms are superheroes. They carry so much, give so much, and deserve to feel celebrated, confident, beautiful, and cared for too.

Thank you to for including me in such a meaningful event and for giving me the opportunity to share the work I love with the world. Grateful is an understatement✨

I’m excited to be on stage once again for a fashion show!

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of spending the day at with both the beautiful makeover winner Maya, and then our lovely models who will be taking the stage to show off some spring styles. I am going to be sharing some style inspiration as well as a short talk about the connection between our identity and style and how to use it to elevate our confidence.

I would love to see you there! I heard the first 200 moms will receive a gift bag 🛍️

Red is one of those colours that speaks before you do.

When you wear red, you’re telling people you’re confident, present, and ready to be seen. It carries energy and draws the eye. It can shift how you show up in a room, whether that’s in a meeting, at an event, or even just running errands.

That doesn’t mean you need a full red outfit. A blazer, a lip, a shoe, even a small detail can do the work for you.

If you’ve been feeling a bit flat in your wardrobe lately, try adding a touch of red and notice the difference in how you carry yourself.

And if you’ve been thinking about what a colour draping session can do for you, DM me and let’s chat!

Personal Stylist | Edmonton | Colour Analysis | Dressing Confidently |

04/20/2026

Before I learned my colours, I used to buy pieces just because I liked them on the hanger or saw them look great on someone else. Then I’d get dressed and feel like something was off, but I couldn’t explain why. I had a hard time putting outfits together and feeling really confident in them.

Learning my colours changed that.

When you know which colours naturally work with your skin tone, hair, and features, getting dressed becomes so much easier. Pieces mix together better, you stop wasting money on things that never quite felt right, and you actually feel more like yourself in what you’re wearing.

Having that clarity gives you a starting point every time you shop or get dressed. You feel more pulled together, more confident in your choices, and more sure that the pieces in your closet are actually working for you.

If you’ve ever wondered if a colour analysis might benefit you, send me a DM and let’s chat through it! As always, I’m here to guide you on this journey ✨
