Short-term thinking is expensive…

I’ve learned this the hard way. Not only from markets, but from people.

There are those who chase immediate wins, quick cash, fast access, short-lived leverage. They see proximity as opportunity, not responsibility. And when the moment presents itself, they trade long-term alignment for short-term gain. A quick move for chump change.

What they don’t see is the asymmetry.

The value was never in the transaction. It was in the access. The conversations. The perspective. The network. The guidance that compounds over time. The kind of capital that doesn’t announce itself, but quietly builds trajectories.

I’ve always kept my cards close. Not out of secrecy, but out of discipline. Because when you’re building for the long game, not everyone is meant to be at the table.

What’s surprising isn’t that some people chose the short play. It’s how often they mispriced the exchange. Burning a bridge for what they think gets them ahead... Walking away from years of potential growth.

That’s the cost of instant gratification. You get paid today, and taxed tomorrow in ways you can’t recover from.

Life’s lately has been the best in the most exhausting way.

We’re so close to finishing the house. Down to the final details, the small things that somehow take the most time. At the same time, the business has grown exponentially. Suits, fittings, deliveries, creating pieces for mentors and clients all over the world… all happening at once.

Add pregnancy into that, and you can imagine the load we’re working through.

But in between all of it, there’s so much good.

Coffee dates. Time with family. Real conversations with close friends. Those moments where you actually pause and realize who you have around you. Nothing feels better than that. The right people make everything lighter.

The work itself feels different right now too. More intention. More detail. We’re hitting a new level with quality, dialing in our manufacturing. Cheers to more handwritten notes, and massive effort poured into all your passions. Balancing business, content, design, family, and life isn’t perfect, but it’s real. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Grateful for the people in our circle. Grateful for the growth. Grateful for the journey.

Some months just feel heavy.

Not in a bad way… just a full calendar.

Building the business, designing a house in real time, things going wrong and having to figure it out on the spot. No pause button. No perfect conditions. Just decisions, one after another, and learning to stay calm even when it all feels heavy.
