tansi, I have always wanted to do a collection celebrating the Cree language, for me when I hear the Cree language it brings me back to visits at nohkom ( my grandmother) ekwa (and) nimosom ( my grandfather)where we would play, eat, laugh and just be with family a place where time didn’t matter and love was all around and Cree was all that was spoken.
Today the Cree that is shared with me by my Auntie Rita is such a gift she shares the Cree language in conversations and storey telling all the while it’s like music to my heart♥️She is one of the greatest teachers and historians I know. When I told her about the collection I wanted to do she encouraged me and supported me nanaskomon Auntie Rita❤️
The root of this collection is love ❤️
