If you value Community, Conservation and the Arts as much as I do, then have I got a proposal for you...
The historic and ecologically-sensitive Little Lakes Road is facing an uncertain future: either we who love the area will be able to protect and enjoy it, OR a gravel-mining company will be allowed to gut it, below the waterline, right up against endangered-species habitat.
Our legal battle has revealed that there are already more than 50 gravel pits around the Maitland River and NO NEED of another. Furthermore, the corporation we are up against is guilty of multiple environmental infractions. We feel the verdict is leaning heavily in our favour... but the fight is far from over.
In December, it will be time for our side to present its evidence. This is going to require a lot more money.
SO!! I have donated one of my well-loved Glass & Textile Workshops to Friends of Ball's Bridge & Little Lakes -Fobbll. This silent-auction item is worth $450, and it would mean a whole lot to me if you'd bid on it!
This workshop is perfect for:
