We are hiring! We’re looking for a sign producer and installer. Experience with vinyl is preferred. This position will be working both in the shop (production) and installations outdoors on signs and vehicles. We also provide continuous training. I spent the first two weeks of January “in” jail—working on an exhibition called "Darkness and Light: Inside the Ontario Reformatory" for Guelph Museums. This included designing the wordmark and panels as well as creating a 7.6 x 6 m floor map that was to be “hand-drawn—more illustration than schematic / more human than institution.” The history of this place is fascinating and multi-faceted—especially important to the many Indigenous survivors of the residential school programs, who created art and persevered to reclaim their stolen heritage.
