It's me, Katie, and I'm coming at you live from my bedroom with a new IG handle because I decided to make a change. ⁣
⁣
I don't know which is stronger -- my indecisiveness or my impulsiveness, (who can relate 🤷🏻‍♀️?!) but all I know is that my business is going through some massive shifts and a "creative company" doesn't fit the bill anymore. ⁣
⁣
I've always been marketing focussed, but I wanted to get really clear on what I do and how my business is positioned, starting with the name! ⁣
⁣
When I launched White Oak, brand design was a core pillar of my service offerings. Now, I'm when I'm knee-deep in social media strategy and digital marketing. ⁣💻📲📩
⁣
I heard someone on the podcast say something along the lines of "being successful involves being able to pivot"... in a much more profound way of course.⁣
⁣
The mission and vision is still the same, we just had to pivot a little bit to make room for what's to come! ⁣🙏🏻

Do you know what’s in the wellness world? 🌍 Sharing content about popular topics is a GREAT WAY to position yourself as an expert online. There are a million and one products and diets and workouts out there which makes it difficult to wade through the noise. What is your definition of wellness? 🌱⁣

“Wellness” is undoubtedly a buzzword in the media and conversations. ⁣
⁣
Turmeric lattes are sprinkled through our feeds like $6 beverages automatically mean you’re living your . ⁣
⁣
If that does it for you, power to ya! But to me, wellness goes beyond trendy health food. ⁣
⁣
Wellness is the consistent effort to take care of your health, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. ⁣
⁣
It also ebbs and flows, but living with wellness in mind means that I prioritize my health, I invest in it, and I try to choose things that will make me look, feel, and perform my best! 😊️⁣

I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself to the new friends, and re-introduce myself to some old ones (I mean those of you who have been hanging out for a while, of course 😹). ⁣

My name is Katie Costa, nice to meet you, and I am the founder and project manager of White Oak!⁣

I have a background in nutritional science 🍎, (currently completing my MSc.) and I am obsessed with the idea of using food, supplements, and lifestyle interventions to maximize quality of life. ⁣

Like, I nerd out over this stuff. 📚⁣

I also nerd out over everything digital marketing. Seriously, I went to school to get two science degrees and I'm out here doing business. Never underestimate the power of the internet and a lot of well-written books. ⁣
