🚨 URGENT: DASHCAM FOOTAGE OR WITNESSES NEEDED — HIGHWAY 101
We were asked to share this anonymous witness appeal regarding a serious Highway 101 incident that has now become an insurance matter.
📍 Highway 101 Westbound — Aylesford to Middleton
📅 Sunday, May 10, 2026
⏰ Approximately 5:20–5:40 p.m.
📍 Approximately 2 km before the first Middleton exit, near the golf-cart business
The sender reports witnessing two grey SUVs appearing to race each other westbound through heavy traffic. One SUV was ahead of the other, with the second described as a grey Hyundai SUV. The make of the first SUV is unknown.
Traffic in the westbound lane was travelling at approximately 110 km/h, and both SUVs reportedly passed at an extraordinarily high rate of speed. Based on how quickly they went by, the witness estimated they may have been travelling close to 200 km/h, although there was no way to measure their exact speed.
There were approximately 10 vehicles travelling in each direction at the time.
According to the witness, the SUVs passed through an extremely narrow space between the line of westbound traffic and vehicles travelling in the opposite direction. The first SUV reportedly barely made it through, with the grey Hyundai following immediately behind.
The Hyundai allegedly came within approximately two inches of striking the witness’s mother’s vehicle.
The witness’s mother was travelling westbound directly ahead of them, while the witness was following immediately behind in another vehicle and says they witnessed the entire incident.
Both SUVs subsequently took the first Middleton exit near the golf-cart business. The first SUV reportedly turned left toward Middleton, while the grey Hyundai turned right onto Victoria Road and continued toward Spa Springs Road.
A police file was opened concerning the incident. The sender is now trying to locate independent witnesses or recordings showing either vehicle appearing to race, passing traffic, travelling along Highway 101 or leaving the highway.
