WE GOT ROBBED 😥
Two young men in grey sweaters took off with an expensive JBL speaker that one of our runners uses for work. The speaker is essential for our job, people love music on a rickshaw ride.
Saturday night, Sept 27, 9:52pm. One of them points at the rickshaws, and the 2 men walk over and immediately start thoroughly searching in and around the rickshaws for anything of value. We store and lock up our rickshaws in a parkade downtown.
Who raised these kids?! This isn't like stealing from a large grocery store, this is property of a person that needs his speaker to be able to run rickshaws. These guys directly robbed someone else and affected his ability to work. No hesitation! 😠
If you recognize these people, please dm us and let us know or call them out. This kind of despicable behavior of screwing over other people for personal gain needs to stop. Halifax used to be much safer ☹️
Context: The speaker was changing hands between employees. It was tucked away on the side, inside the rickshaw, for another employee who was starting work 1 hour later. These guys robbed the speaker 13 minutes before the owner arrived. We know this is a public parkade and precautions were taken, we've done this thing many times before with no issue.
