When we launched
Standing Room Only Entertainment Group (SRO) last year, it was really important for us to be intentional about championing women and supporting the mission to drive gender equity in sports. So, we are pretty excited to announce our first SRO Venture, with our clients, Canadian Olympic and professional basketball player, Kayla Alexander and fellow Olympic teammates,
Miranda Ayim (Team Canada flag bearer for Tokyo 2020) and Bridget Carleton () will also bring their support to this unique venture.

The Kayla Alexander Girls Exposure Camp Powered by , will take place this summer, August 12 – 14 Burlington.

The mission is to empower the next generation of women in Canadian basketball and provide them with the environment and guidance to prepare them for the next level on the court and in life. Working
alongside an amazing basketball community, our network of corporate and sports industry leaders to teach these high school prospects about the diverse array of career possibilities
from the courts to the boardrooms, encouraging these girls to optimize their strengths, gifts, and passions.

A story of inspiration and resilience. So proud to welcome Rylee Foster to the SRO team. Her story is a miracle. Rylee is a 23-year-old Canadian professional goalkeeper currently contracted with and plays for one of the biggest soccer clubs in the world, and a member of Women’s National Team. We are deeply honoured to have Rylee join our team of global athletes. She is such an inspirational human, and her story is a reminder to us all about resilience and the to overcome incredible adversity.

Foster is working her way back from a harrowing car accident that broke her neck in 7 places, and the truth is she is lucky to be alive. Her story is one that we see in movies of a ‘miracle’ recovery. Rylee was in a Halo fixation device for 4 months, recently having it removed. She didn’t expect to have a reasonable quality of life, and to say the least the option of a to play soccer was off the table. Until her team of doctors told her that her fractures have healed and if her body responds to rehab well, she should make a full recovery.

We will be documenting her rehabilitation journey, with her sights set on getting back to the pitch, and possibly even representing at the . Now that would be an incredible comeback story!

So proud to welcome to the team! Kayla has represented Canada since 2008 and joined the Senior Women’s National team in 2018. In 2020, she helped Team Canada go 3-0 at the FIBA Olympic Qualifiers, securing Canada’s Olympic appearance at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Kayla has eight season under her belt and continues to play overseas.

Kayla is the author and illustrator of a children’s book “The Magic of Basketball”, inspiring the next generation of kids to continue to dream big and go after everything they want in life. She frequently holds speaking engagements at schools across the country. Kayla has also recently launched a new business venture with her sister, Kesia and childhood friend Nicole Murphy, entering into the fashion world with , an online clothing marketplace for Tall Women. Kayla also mentors young girls with the (National Basketball Youth Mentorship Program).
