Your strategy will always differ based on what it is your selling. Whether it's a product or a service, you will see overlap and differences when it comes to creating an online presence for anything.

Today we're focusing on situating your product on Instagram for the best results. Here are some steps you can take to develop a strong presence online:

Optimize your profile: Make sure your Instagram profile includes a clear and concise description of your product, as well as a link to your website. Use a high-quality profile picture and cover photo that reflects your brand identity, and ensure your website is set up to purchase (or includes a store address)

Create high-quality content: Use high-quality images and videos to showcase your product in action. Experiment with different types of content, such as product demos, behind-the-scenes shots, and customer testimonials. Use engaging captions and hashtags to increase the visibility of your posts, and consider boosting your best post that month (even 25$ will go far!)

Engage with your audience: Respond to comments and direct messages in a timely and friendly manner. Use Instagram's features, such as Stories and Reels, to engage with your audience and keep them interested in your brand.

First and foremost, make sure your camera lens is clean. It may seem obvious, but dust and smudges can easily accumulate on your lens, leading to blurry or hazy photos. Use a microfiber cloth or lens cleaning solution to wipe away any dirt or fingerprints before taking a shot.

Next, pay attention to your lighting.

Natural light is often the best choice for achieving crisp and vibrant photos. If you're shooting indoors, position your subject near a window or other source of natural light. A good Instagram caption should complement your post and help you connect with your audience. Here are some elements that can make a good Instagram caption:

1. Relevant: Your caption should be relevant to your post and provide additional context or information about the photo or video you're sharing. People WILL unfollow you if you post offside content.

2. Engaging: Your caption should be engaging and grab the attention of your followers. This can be achieved through the use of questions, calls to action, humour, or interesting anecdotes. Humour is always a great call.

3. Concise: Keep your caption concise and to the point. Instagram allows up to 2,200 characters, but studies show that shorter captions tend to perform better.

4. Branded: Your caption should be consistent with your brand's voice and tone, and should help reinforce your brand identity. Again, no offside stuff.

5. Call-to-Action (CTA): A bit bossy but your caption should include a clear and concise CTA that encourages your followers to take a specific action, such as visiting your website or leaving a comment.

When tasked with amplifying the voice of a company that isn't yours, it's important to do your research and get to know the brand voice AND its target audience. Here's our advice:

⚡️Visit the company's website: Start by browsing the brand's website and familiarizing yourself with their products or services, mission statement, and values. This can help you understand what sets the brand apart from its competitors and what type of language and tone would be appropriate for their copy.

⚡️Check out their social media: Take a look at the brand's social media pages to get a sense of their personality and the type of content they share. This can help you understand their target audience and what type of messaging resonates with them. If they don't have any, even better - you can start fresh.

⚡️Conduct a competitive analysis: Research the brand's competitors to see how they position themselves in the market and what type of messaging they use. Here are three key things to remember to make sure your potential clients can easily navigate what they need to from your webpage.

✨ 1. Get to the point. Make sure that wherever you want to lead people is the most easily accessible feature. For example, if people call you to book a consultation, make sure your phone number is easy to find, and at the top of your page.

✨ 2. Think of it like a funnel, but a small one. You want people to be directed to contacting you, or accessing your services - but in a really short amount of time! You don’t want people to feel that the information they’re looking for is taking too long to find.

✨3. Keep it clean. Everyone likes a clean, non cluttered design. You don’t want to overwhelm your online guests!
