ONE FLIGHT, ONE LAKE

Some days the whole point is to just… slow down.
I sent the drone out over this little lake right as summer was tipping into fall, and the water was so still it held the whole sky. One flight, no cuts. I just let it glide.

Turn your phone sideways for the full view.

PLAYING WITH TIME
Sometimes the best thing you can do with your camera is completely ignore the "rules" and just play. Most people pack up their gear the second the sun goes down, but in this video, I locked off the tripod right next to the campfire, fired off hundreds of shots across the night, and stacked them to let the Earth's natural rotation turn the stars into giant glowing rings. Photography gets ten times more fun when you treat your gear like an open experiment instead of a checklist.

BEHIND THE LENS It takes a lot of quiet patience—and a heavy lens setup—to secure an intimate glimpse of nature like this. Last night was a true team effort; I got the Sony 200-600mm into position, and Sarah made the perfect soft call to get him to frame up for this photo. That dedicated, behind-the-scenes effort is exactly the hard work and flow I invest into setting up, capturing, and polishing every piece of content for local business campaigns.

INTO THE WOODS
Just me, the crisp air, and the most incredible encounter in the pines. Taking this photo felt like time completely stood still for a few seconds. The quiet wisdom in those eyes is just absolutely breathtaking to witness in the wild.
Hope this moment brings a smile to your day.

FRAMING THE PERFECT MOMENT
There's something so peaceful about standing in the dark of this rock tunnel and watching the sky explode into those fiery orange and red hues. I waited for just the right second to capture this photo—when the couple and their little dog stepped perfectly into the glowing light.
Finding that perfect framing is what I love most about photography. It’s also exactly how I approach social media for Okanagan businesses—waiting for the right moment and framing your unique story so it truly stands out online.

A WIDER VIEW
Finding a fresh vantage point changes everything. I hiked up a bit to grab this photo, looking out over the water as the Penticton sky put on a show.
Finding that perfect, elevated perspective is so rewarding. It’s the same approach I take when helping local brands see their own stories from a fresh, new angle.
Curious how this could work for your business? DM me.

THE JOY OF WILDLIFE
There is nothing quite like the unpredictable thrill of wildlife photography. You can't pose your subject, you can't ask them to step into the light, you just have to wait, watch, and hope for the best.
I spent a quiet morning observing the gentle movements of this beautiful female Brewer's Blackbird by the water. Capturing this photo right as she paused on the weathered driftwood was such a fun, rewarding little victory. It's unscripted moments like this that remind me exactly why I love carrying my camera everywhere I go in the Okanagan—you just never know who you're going to meet!
Hope this little feathered friend brings some joy to your feed today.

OKANAGAN SILT CLIFFS
There is something so grounding about the way the light hits these clay cliffs near Penticton. I captured this photo while wandering the KVR trail, just soaking in that perfect mix of sagebrush scent and the vastness of the lake.
I live for these quiet moments behind the lens, but I also love translating that same "wow" factor into the digital presence of our local shops and services. When your content feels as authentic as a morning hike, people really stop and notice.

SPRINGTIME SENTINEL
There’s something so grounding about the way a Red-winged Blackbird claims its territory. I caught this photo while the morning air was still crisp, watching him perch on this weathered fence and puff out those vibrant shoulders. It’s those tiny, sharp details—the texture of the wood and the flash of red—that make a moment feel alive.
I bring that same eye for detail when I’m managing social media for local Okanagan shops. Capturing the authentic "vibe" of a business is just like waiting for the perfect bird strike; it’s all about patience and knowing when to hit the shutter.

NATURE’S RAW CINEMATOGRAPHY
I remember the roar being so loud I could barely hear my own thoughts while capturing this photo. The way the water carves through the ancient rock is nature’s own masterclass in visual impact.

That’s the energy I strive for in every project—creating visuals that stop the scroll and demand attention. Whether it’s a landscape or a local storefront, I’m always chasing that "wow" factor to help my clients stand out in a crowded digital world.
