Let me set the story...

You decide to look up on the Internet for a social media agency.

Once you hit enter, you see various social media accounts, websites, and blog posts appear under your search request. The first result is often an advertisement, but you scroll past to see what google has more to offer. But, do you ever go to the second page of your search? Let alone the third or fourth page? I bet your answer is no.

All jokes aside, if your business does not appear on the first search results page, no one will ever find your business, let alone that dead body.

This can all be prevented!

Here are some tips and tricks on how you can improve YOUR SEO!

Today is client appreciation day! Each month I’ll be showing off one of my clients progress, and today is .fit

Lucky for you, I’m about to expose 3️⃣ of our juiciest secrets

👉 Every social media creator, even celebrities, have a secret Instagram account - using another name, profile photo, and even following

It may not come as a surprise, but, as a creator, it’s critical to keep an account separate 🙌

Why? Unlike a 9 to 5 corporate job, where your work stays at work, running a business on social media follows you home 🏠

Many creators want to enjoy posts, reels, and a search page that’s algorithm has not been affected by their business - it’s essential to keep your business and personal life separate for a happy and healthy life.

👉 Every post that has been uploaded has been pre-planned, scheduled, and posted up by automated robots - unless it's a story.

That's right, nothing that is posted was done in real-time. Let's be honest, as sweet brown says best, ain't nobody got time for that 😂

As a business, it's not all about posting on social media; many other things go into running a business. So, why not have a post posted on your behalf when you can be using your efforts working on another aspect of your business 🤷‍♀️

👉 All of our content, reels, videos, and photos were recorded and taken ALL on the same day.

One of our strategies, to be the most efficient, is to record all of our content for an entire week or month in one day.

Do you know anyone who uses the “take a photo” feature when uploading a photo or video to Instagram? - I didn't think so 😝

Pro tip: When batching your content, change up your outfit. This gives the illusion that it was recorded on different days 📷

Are you creating content blindly?👀

Before we cover why it is essential to have a target market 🎯, we need to understand its means.

By definition, a social media target audience is “a group of people that you've identified that you want to appeal to.” ( , 2021). This can be based on any descriptive factor-like demographics, which are factors like age 👵🏼 , income💰, education 🎓, geographic area📍and more!

So, what does this mean? This means that if you haven’t specified your target market, how will you know what content to create if you have not discovered what your target market appeals to and is looking for? 🤷🏼‍♀️

By determining what your target audience is before you develop content, it will allow you to target your audience with curated content that meets their needs and Interests. Therefore wasting less time⏳, effort💪, money💸, and other resources trying to redirect your content toward an audience who will or may not interact and engage with your post.

✨How do I create one? ✨

Follow the 5 steps below to begin to create your target market! 🎯

1. Conduct research 🔬
1. Look at who your main competitors are targeting
2. Social listen 👂
2. Gather data on your pre-existing consumers/ followers on social media 📚
3. Find out what your target audience appeals to and what social channels they are using
4. Conduct a survey 📝
5. Create a buyers persona 💁🏼‍♀️

If your Instagram is not searchable, it will be difficult for users and potential customers to find you 🥵

If you have not already noticed, Instagram is now becoming a search engine tool. You can now search keywords in your search bar, and accounts will appear based on your search - crazy, right 🤯

Here are some tips:

🔅Name Specific:
Do you know that the space under your profile photo in your bio, where you often just put your business name, is searchable?

Use this to your advantage, and don’t use your business name or name.

Instead, use keywords. For example, please take a look at my bio. I used brand-specific words such as social media marketing. So, when a small business or entrepreneur searches up social media, my account will appear under their search bar. 😎

🔅 Use your location:
What does this mean? Users can search up their location and sort the results based on different categories. For example, I searched up "Kitchener, Ontario." Then, I sorted the results by the class "chicken." Once selected, all the restaurants in my area, the users who used the location, Kitchener, ON and the hashtag "chicken" appeared.

🔅 Optimize your bio
You have a total of 150 characters to tell a user who you are, what service or product your business sells, and why they should; follow you, engage with you, or even purchase from you. Pro tip: use emojis and keep it simple 🚨

3 tips and tricks YOU need to know to use highlights effectively ✨

1️⃣ Keep your stories relevant
It can be easy to get carried away with how many stories are contained within one highlight - there are just so many, I can’t choose! 😅

The eagerness is excellent, but keep in mind. Would you want to tap through 30 stories to get to a story that is more recent and relevant? Your answer is probably no.
My suggestion is to keep a minimum of three stories per highlight and a maximum of ten stories to keep followers engaged ✨

2️⃣ Ensure that your highlights are categorized.

Nothing is worse than clicking on a highlight labelled music, and all the photos and videos have nothing to do with music! So, before you come up with a highlight, brainstorm categories that are brand specific. Then, pick ten stories that fall within these categories.😁

3️⃣ Finally, it’s great to have highlights, but there is such thing as too many.

I would recommend using five at most six. Just like having too many stories, having too many highlights can make your page cluttered and overwhelming. Keeping it
simplistic is key 🔑

I always get asked..

What happens if I start, and then a few months or years later, I don't like the content I had created or a design of a past graphic?

Well, my friend, this is a normal part of growing 🚀

The more we grow, the more we learn.

This new knowledge we obtained affects our opinions and views. That is why that design you created last month now seems to have more aspects you dislike about it - and that is okay! 👍

What truly matters is the following:

👉 You have proven to yourself that you are growing. Now that you have this new knowledge, you have created a higher standard for yourself that you would like to reach - Pushing you closer to tremendous success 📈

👉 The content or graphic you created that you no longer enjoy is not permanent. It can be changed and altered. Nothing is permanent; rebrands happen all the time ✨

👉 These new dislikes you have developed will serve as a learning purpose for you and your brand, as these dislikes will be used when deciding if something you have created is ready to be shared publicly 🗣

Remember, adapting is a part of growing.

From creating posts to stories to interactive graphics. Canva is a fantastic graphic design application to bring your creative ideas to life.

✨Hashtag Expert
Let’s be honest; hashtags can get confusing and overwhelming. Hashtag expert is great for businesses new to social media looking for a quick and easy way to insert all relevant and high-performing hashtags - No need to make it complicated!

✨Mojo
