Someone in Surrey apparently decided that they were done with RV site fees and attached their RV to a platform built from large plastic drums.

The “houseboat” was spotted floating on the Nicomekl river, and was later seen with a sticker slapped on it by Surrey By-law.

Transport Canada has no comment at this time on this engineering marvel

When a cruise ship patient needed help roughly 200 km off the B.C. coast, Canada sent it’s air force.

A CH-149 Cormorant and CC-295 Kingfisher from 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron responded, with SAR Techs hoisted onto the ship before the patient was evacuated to Comox.

Abbotsford Police say a 65-year-old driver was clocked at 98 km/h in a 50 zone near a school after aggressively passing traffic.

The reason? The driver told police that “nature called.”

The result: an excessive speeding ticket and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.

Bradford West Gwillimbury is trying to reunite a very conspicuous peacock with its owner after the bird was spotted wandering around near Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

The town is asking anyone who recognizes it to contact Animal Services.

Nothing says “peaceful small-town cemetery” like being silently judged by a six-foot bird in formalwear.

B.C. Highway Patrol says an officer was responding to a priority call about a police-known pedestrian walking on Highway 1 when he spotted something else: a Tesla driver apparently asleep behind the wheel in Langley rush-hour traffic.

The officer diverted to stop the Tesla. Police say the driver had his eyes closed and hands off the wheel; the driver denied he was sleeping.

A fire broke out beneath the SkyTrain guideway near Lougheed Station, sending flames and a thick column of smoke into the air.

Just another completely normal Metro Vancouver commute.

A Gander man allegedly turned one stolen car into an increasingly complicated morning.

RCMP say the first stolen vehicle was involved in a collision with a moose before being abandoned. A second vehicle was then reported stolen and tracked through its location app. Police say the driver later struck an RCMP vehicle while officers attempted to stop him.

After the second vehicle was abandoned, RCMP deployed both Police Dog Services and a drone, eventually locating the suspect several kilometres away.

At some point you have to accept the universe does not want you to have a car.

West Kelowna RCMP are looking for someone dressed as the Cat in the Hat after a teenager was allegedly chased through a neighbourhood late last month.

Police say the teen made it home safely, but investigators are now trying to identify the person behind the costume as part of a criminal harassment investigation.

St. Albert handed the pool over to the dogs for one last swim before closing for the season.

The annual Grosvenor Dog Swim saw pups take over the Alberta city’s outdoor pool for two dedicated swimming sessions, with admission collected by donation for Second Chance Animal Rescue Society.

The pool closed for the season immediately afterward, presumably to begin the lengthy process of removing 14,000 pounds of dog hair from the filter.
