Freedom of expression: Promoting unity or sowing seeds of discord?
This photo captures a moment where an individual expressed their discontent towards the Prime Minister by using offensive language on a sign in front of the parliament. While we cherish the value of freedom of speech, perhaps we can encourage constructive criticism through more thoughtful language when expressing our concerns about the government.
It's important to remember that resorting to offensive or disrespectful words seldom yields positive results. Let's strive to choose our words wisely, understanding that they have the power to influence and shape our nation. Together, let's build bridges and foster unity for the betterment of our country.

I am sharing my final design of the billboard, poster and bus shelter that I made for the capstone project, Design 4 Change, after receiving our client's, Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario, and my professor, Jeff McClinchey's, feedback.

I am grateful for the chance to collaborate on the capstone project, Design 4 Change, with the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario. Through this project, third-year graphic design students of Fanshawe college will be able to put their skills and expertise to use for a local NPO.

The goal of PSSO, the client I was paired with, is to improve care and quality of life for Parkinson's patients in Southwest Ontario. They continually need to promote their events, including their annual walk in order to further this aim. In the initial stage of this project, I made a billboard, a poster, a bus shelter, and several social media adverts for this reason. Please find the bus shelter attached.

The process began with the creation of two distinct billboard concepts. A duplicate of each concept, along with the finished billboard, is attached. These ideas were reviewed with our client, my professors and our focus group. Then, I revised them, taking the comments I got from my focus group, my teachers, and my client into consideration. Eventually, in line with the billboard design, other promotional items were also created.

I am incredibly appreciative of all of my professors at Fanshawe who guided me in understanding many facets of graphic design and helped me reach this creation.
