Have you ever been asked to design a horse but end up with a camel? I’ve experienced this a couple times in my career and have learned from it. When meeting with a new client I always ask who the decision makers are because working directly will almost always give you better results. There’s a big red flag if there is a committee involved and now I’ll usually turn down the project as not a good fit. Save your soul.
