Welcome to the Rainbow Connection hop! We challenge ourselves to create designs that only use rainbow colors and also must be a clean and simple design keeping 1/2 to 3/4 of the card empty. Hello everyone and welcome to the August edition of the Crushing Christmas Cards Hop, hosted by Brennan's Crafty Corner and Kim Taylor! This month we are going all out with Merry Mixed Media!

The participants of this hop want to inspire YOU to create your Christmas cards early, so if you would like to play along you can use . While Christmas is a ways away, it’s always better to be extra prepared! If you’d like to join in on the fun, message Brennan's Crafty Corner or Kim Taylor.

For the mixed media aspect I finally got to play with my Arteza Iridescent acrylic paints. They offer the perfect amount of shimmer. I swiped them on some water colour paper and added some distress shimmer to make the lovely abstract panel. For the background I used a background plate from spellbinders and then the focal image is a gold cardstock poinsettia with foliage in vellum and grey. I finished it off with some nuvo drops.
