We love our downtown, and making it a place that feels vibrant, creative and welcoming is a big part of what we do.

Behind every mural is a lot more than a blank wall. The BIA has helped bring these projects to life by finding and connecting with artists, securing locations and building owners, and bringing the right people together throughout the planning process. From the first ideas to the final mural, we work collaboratively to make sure each piece reflects the space, the artist's vision and the story we want to share with our community.

These mural projects have been funded by the City of Maple Ridge, allowing us to continue adding meaningful public art throughout downtown.

And you don't have to find them all on your own! We have created the Downtown Maple Ridge Mural Collective Tour, featuring some of the public art projects we've been proud to bring together over the years. Take a walk, explore downtown and see how many murals you can discover. Link is in our bio.

This is one of the many ways the BIA continues to invest in a making our downtown creative, vibrant and inviting.

What a wonderful way to wrap up this year’s Mural Collective Project! 🎨

Thank you to everyone who came out Tuesday to celebrate the final mural, "Birds of a Feather", created and painted by artist Laura Johnson alongside UPlan youth on the northwest wall of Haney Place Mall.

This year’s Mural Collective Project, funded by the City of Maple Ridge and facilitated by the Downtown Maple Ridge BIA, has added three new murals to downtown Maple Ridge, each inspired by Maple Ridge's local species and fauna plus they feature an interactive element.

Haven’t checked them out yet? Take a stroll through downtown, find all three, snap a photo of yourself in the murals and don’t forget to tag us! Click the link in our bio for information on the downtown mural walk.

Today, we honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Our office is closed as we take time to reflect, remember, and honour Indigenous Peoples, Survivors, and the children who never returned home. We will resume normal business hours on Thursday.
