April 23rd is World Book Day and we are happy to share that the WeWorkingWomen Book Club has reached its 180th session!

Along journey, we’ve come to realize that
reading not just about finishing a book,
It is about allowing real change to happen within ourselves.

And, when we read deeply and thoughtfully - at the right time and with the right people - the book and all it’s teachings can really come to life!

If you are also a believer that:
- Growth requires not just effort, but deep thought and reflection
- Growth is enhanced by the company of like-minded peers
- A book can become a turning point in life
Then we warmly invite you to join the WeWorkingWomen Book Club. 📚

WeWorkingWomen President Sherry Zhang was honoured to be invited to attend the Institute for Canadian Citizenship (ICC) Canada’s Difference Maker Gala as a guest of CIBC. It was an inspiring evening celebrating the contributions of immigrants making Canada stronger, richer and more vibrant.

As a organization devoted to Chinese women’s personal and professional growth in Canada, it was a privilege to learn more about ICC’s work. We are humbled to benefit from the continued support of organizations like CIBC, as well as the advocacy of corporate executive champions like Colleen Szeto and her team.

This International Women’s Day, we hope you celebrate by telling an inspiring woman in your life how much she means to you. Celebrate the women in your life, and please, also celebrate your own accomplishments and successes!

Every year WeWorkingWomen profiles dozens of overseas Chinese women on our public WeChat account, a Chinese language social media platform with over 100,000 follower. We believe that sharing women’s stories is the way to provide inspiration and encouragement, while also shedding light on real challenges and struggles. Through sharing stories, women in our community can not only identify role models and paths to reach their goals, they can also see that we are not alone.

We warmly invite you to recommend women to be profiled on the WeWorkingWomen platform. You are welcome to send your recommendations to [email protected].

Happy International Women’s Day!
