Not all designs are created equal... AI is cool and all that, but know that it can't always produce all you may need in a logo or image.

As soon as you need that graphic enlarged too much, you will run in to image quality issues. In the end, you'll have to send that image you had AI create for free, to a designer to fix. 🤷‍♂️

The new City of Melfort "Community Guide" was recently published and required some illustration from Nelson Graphic Design.

Some jobs are more technical than others and that's what keeps my profession fresh each day... and it doesn't hurt that I was probably the only kid in town who drew maps of fictitious towns for fun. Maybe I should have been a Cartologist.🤔(Yes I still played street hockey & "Kick the Can" as well)

Today is International Design Day 2026 (Yes, there's a day for us!) The theme for this year is "The Spaces In Between"

As the International Council of Designs states: "We live in an age of constant communication, and increasing disconnection. Design can rebuild the spaces that bring people together, including our streets, screens, museums, clothing, objects, and cities."

For me, it's getting into that peaceful open space that I feel relaxed and most at peace to help re-charge. Maybe a small town designer's perspective is slightly amiss of the particulars of this theme, but the overall goal is there. Enjoying that peaceful space of where I love to be helps me to get there.

This isn't a design image, rather a photo of a space I love to explore.🌲
