Yorkton RCMP investigating robbery and serious assault

UPDATED: On January 8, 2024 at approximately 8:05 a.m., Yorkton RCMP received a report of a serious assault that occurred on Tupper Avenue in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
Officers immediately responded. Investigation determined there was an altercation between a group of individuals. An adult male was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious.
As a result of further investigation, five individuals were arrested at a residence in Yorkton around noon on January 8 an another was arrested almost a week later.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., Saskatchewan RCMP’s Yorkton Detachment, Yorkton General Investigation Section, and Yorkton Forensic Identification Services executed a search warrant at the residence. Investigators located and seized ammunition, items stolen from the victim, a stolen bag, and a machete.
As a result of investigation, 35-year-old Kyle Bodnarek from Yorkton, 32-year-old Daryl Razor from Yorkton, and 21-year-old Breeanna Wright from Foam Lake were each charged with:
one count, robbery, Section 344(1), Criminal Code; and
one count, aggravated assault, Section 268(2), Criminal Code.
Kyle Bodnarek was also charged with one count, pointing a firearm, Section 87(2), Criminal Code and five counts, possess firearm contrary to order, Section 117.01(3), Criminal Code. Breenna Wright was additionally charged with three counts, failure to comply with undertaking condition, Section 145(4)(a), Criminal Code.
Two other individuals arrested at the scene were later released without charge.
Kyle Bodnarek, Daryl Razor, and Breeanna Wright appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court on January 10, 2024 (Information #90514340, #90514341, #90514339).
As a result of continued investigation, Yorkton RCMP has charged 38-year old Jameson Demontigny with:
one count, robbery, Section 344(1), Criminal Code;
one count, aggravated assault, Section 268(2), Criminal Code; and
one count, failure to comply with undertaking condition, Section 145(4)(a), Criminal Code.
On January 14, 2024, Yorkton RCMP located and arrested Jameson Demontigny at a residence in Yorkton.
Jameson Demontigny will appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on January 15, 2024.
