This year's design is "Generations" by Jay Joseph, and it carries what this day is about: healing through the generations and a hope for positive, meaningful change.

🐺 🐺 🐺 Wolves are family-oriented animals with great significance across many Pacific Northwest Nations, and a long history of being misunderstood.

In this year’s Orange Shirt Day t-shirt design, a young wolf pup is surrounded by generations of family members. The wolves are howling to carry a message of healing through these generations and pass along their hope for positive, meaningful change.

Every September, we wear orange to honour the children who never made it home from residential schools, and to stand with Survivors, families, and communities carrying that history forward. This year's Orange Shirt Day collection features the "Generations" design by Jay Joseph, available now in tees and hoodies ahead of September 30.

🧡 It is our pleasure to share Generations, this year’s Orange Shirt Day design.

Wolves are family-oriented animals with great significance across many Pacific Northwest Nations, and a long history of being misunderstood. In this design, a young wolf pup is surrounded by generations of family members. The wolves are howling to carry a message of healing through these generations and pass along their hope for positive, meaningful change.

🐺 The Generations design was created by Jay Joseph, an artist who enjoys creating formline designs that feature non-traditional or unconventional animals and creatures. Jay lives on unceded Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and səl̓ilwətaɬ land in British Columbia and is a member of the Wet’suwet’en Likhts’amisyu (Fireweed) Clan.

Our team recently partnered with BC Transit on their Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation: One Year Action Plan. 🚍🌿

The work included building a visual identity foundation specifically for BC Transit's Indigenous Relations work, with an original colour palette, typography, custom patterns, and supporting graphic elements designed to carry forward across future communications.

We also created an original cover illustration along with iconography representing the plan's five guiding pillars: Relationships, Employment and Education, Access, Funding, and Governance.

This is exactly the kind of work we care deeply about: helping organizations tell their reconciliation story in a way that's authentic, intentional, and built to last.

We were honoured to be part of it.
