I realized I never came back to share this sweet little project from late fall 2024, and it’s one I still really love.
The artist came to me with a collection of original watercolour paintings, each one a little different in size and feel. The first step was to digitize them in a way that kept all that softness and detail intact, so they still felt like the originals, just on screen.
From there, it was all about figuring out how to bring everything together. Since the pieces weren’t the same size, the layout needed to feel balanced without looking too structured. I played with spacing and placement until it felt natural, like everything belonged together without forcing it.
We also needed to leave room for text, which meant being intentional about where things could breathe a bit. The goal was to make sure any copy could sit comfortably alongside the artwork, not compete with it.
In the end, it came together in a way that feels really gentle and cohesive. It still has that hand-painted charm, just with a bit more structure to hold it all together.
