It was such a pleasure working with the team at Valley Life Recreation to build their logo and branding, and contribute in a small way to the incredible plans they have for our community.

Good afternoon everyone! We have something new and exciting to share with you all now…Valley Life Recreation’s beautiful, brand new logo!

We were absolutely thrilled to work with local graphic design artist Emily Saler of Emanate Creative as she came up with Valley Life Recreation branding that represents what this organization is all about.

The colours are adventurous and outdoorsy, our primary focus on trails is represented, and the manner by which the sun and hills create the magical space we live in is also included. We create inclusive and diverse spaces for all walks of life and the colours and feel of the new VLR logo and branding will accompany that in every space we work. In fact, you could say this logo also appears somewhat like a home with gracious openings on either side to include every person, regardless of who they are or where they come from.

We have some very important statements to share coming in the weeks ahead about the identity of the organization we’re all working hard to build, but until then, get used to the new VLR logo and colours. You’ll find them now in all of our online spaces and soon, in the Squirrel Hills Trail Park and future projects this organization takes on.

Thanks again to Emily for coming up with something that adds so well to the identity being continually created for Valley Life Recreation!

One year ago today, the new Boho Soul brand was officially launched!!! ✨🎉✨

Since then Magen’s kombucha has swept southern Manitoba and is available in 33 different locations throughout the province, including 14 Co-op grocery stores!!
•
Watching Magen grow and thrive, knowing that I could play a tiny part in helping her realize her wildest dreams, is the greatest part of my graphic design career. And that goes for all of my clients ❤️
•
Magen you are one hell of an inspiring entrepreneur. You make Minnedosa proud!! I’m grateful for our partnership in building your Kombucha brand, but most importantly I’m grateful for our newfound friendship.

You have grown SO MUCH in one year alone, I can’t even imagine where you will be a year from now ❤️

Rustic prairie skies ☁️☁️☁️ ...
This is the painting I created to auction off at our wedding social last weekend!
•
This painting came together in three days - two evenings and one full day! That’s pretty quick for me, but that doesn’t make it any less special 💖
•
The joy and excitement I felt while painting this piece was incredible. I feel I finally understand the meaning of powerful, inspired action vs. forceful, motivated action. I couldn’t stop humming, singing and even dancing while I worked on this one. 💃🙈😄
•
I’m pleased to say it was won by dear friends of ours, and I can’t wait for the light it will bring their busy, fun-loving, country home 💗 (I’m also excited I’ll get to see it from time to time when we come over for a visit 😏)

I feel like I’m starting to finding my painting groove - prairie skies, nature scenes, & colourful, rustic tones - I can’t wait to make more pieces like this in the future!! 😄💖

After a week of recovery (mostly my voice from talking ALL day and night with you guys!!!), Josh and I want to say THANK YOU! 💕

We could not have asked for a better wedding shower and social. 🤗❤️ (We squeaked it in just in time apparently!!)
•
The gratitude we feel for our friends, family and community is truly overwhelming. ❤️🥰❤️ all I can say is you guys are seriously THE BEST!!
•
Officially we would like to say thank you to our wedding party for throwing the best gosh darn party so far this year 😉🥳, to my girls for hosting a beautiful wedding shower and truly showering me with so much love 💖, to our parents for their tremendous amount of help and support which allowed the night to go off without a hitch, to our DJ for guiding us through the night and keeping the dance floor full, to our prize sponsors for their generous donations that some lucky folks had the chance of winning and taking home, and finally to EVERYONE that came out, texted or called, to support us and gift their love and well wishes to us. ❤️ Our hearts are still so full. The memories from that day will stick with us for years to come! 😄🥂💃

This beauty is hanging in a very special person’s home as we speak … filling it with light and love. 💖 My hope for all of my creations!!

It is called “Frosty Morning Stroll”, which is exactly what I was doing when I snapped the pic that inspired this piece.
•
Nature has always been my source of inspiration for my paintings. ESPECIALLY the sky.
•
I used to go for morning walks and stare at the sunrise and the pretty fluffy clouds and 💭 dream 💭 about “some day” when I would be able to paint what I was experiencing.
•
In the last few months, I’m no longer dreaming about it.
•
I’m living it. ✨
•
And what’s crazy is nothing changed in my life for me to make that shift. It wasn’t “the perfect time”, I didn’t have “the perfect set-up”, my ducks weren’t “all in a row”.
•
Nope, not even close.
•
All it took was recognizing those moments that pop up when I think to myself, “I could paint right now”, and instead of moving on to the next item on my to-do list, I actually choose to paint!!
•
All it took to make the shift, was for me to choose it.
•
So what are you waiting for friends? What is one thing you could do today, even just for an hour, to step towards your dreams?

All you have to do is choose it. 💖

For me, every time I’m driving back roads and see a deer I think of my Papa. ❤️ We used to take Sunday drives together and count the deer.

A couple weeks ago I mentioned that big changes were coming this March ... are you ready to hear the news?!⁣

The last two months have been a time of deep reflection and honesty. ⁣
•⁣
With that, three things have become EXTREMELY clear to me:⁣
⁣
1️⃣ It is my calling to be an artist. There is no more denying it. This means over the next few months I will be transitioning out of freelance graphic design into creating more art!!⁣
⁣
2️⃣ I am a very active person who loves to move, explore nature, travel, see and experience new things - I am excited to create a new lifestyle that will allow more of this!⁣
⁣
3️⃣ When I am truly being me I am inspiring, collaborating and working with others who desire the same things as me - to create a greater life for themselves, their loved ones and the world.⁣

With all of this in mind it became apparent I would like to add something more to my life, which brings me to my big change ... drum role please 🤗 ...⁣
