This past weekend, I attended Farms for Change in Creemore, Ontario. This charitable program partners with over 30 Good Food Organizations across Southern Ontario to raise money to help tackle food insecurity, mitigate climate change, and improve the lives of farmers.
For over 15 years, one hundred percent of the proceeds are put towards purchasing vegetables from The New Farm (a certified organic, regenerative farm... and the event hosts) and other local farms, to be donated to organization affiliates across the province.
Reading the origin story of The New Farm left me with a deeper appreciation for the work and dedication of farmers. Meaningful growth doesn’t happen all at once... it comes from showing up consistently and putting the right pieces in place over time.
That mindset isn’t so different from how we approach our work at The Nest. We're creating strong foundations so brands can thrive over time. Sometimes, stepping outside your industry is the best way to come back to it with clarity.
