I was looking at a home service website yesterday…
Clean design. Nice colors. Professional layout.
But here’s the problem:
No clear reason to call.
No urgency.
No strong call-to-action.
So people visit… scroll… and leave.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Your website doesn’t need to impress people.
It needs to convert them.
When I build or optimize a site, here’s what I focus on:
✅ Clear “Call Now” buttons above the fold
✅ Simple, direct messaging (what you do + where you serve)
✅ Emergency or same-day service highlighted
✅ No distractions or unnecessary pages
Because when someone lands on your site,
they’re not browsing.
They’re deciding.
And if it’s not obvious what to do next,
they won’t do anything.
I put together a breakdown of what actually makes a home service website convert.
Send me a DM if you want me to walk you through it.
