Hay 3 términos que causan mucho ruido en quienes desean empezar un negocio y porque no decirlo también en quienes ya lo tienen.

Estos 3 términos son BRAND, BRANDING y BRAND IDENTITY.

Por un momento podríamos pensar que se refieren a lo mismo, pero no y tenerlo claro es esencial para el éxito de nuestro negocio.

El primer término BRAND o marca en su traducción al español en su definición básica se refiere al nombre que se le da a un producto, “nombre de marca” brand name.

En su definición mas completa se refiere a esencia de un negocio, quien es, su propósito, porque existe y como quiere ser conocido, cual es la personalidad que quiere proyectar.

El segundo término BRANDING se define como el proceso o conjunto de acciones encaminadas a crear una percepción solida y positiva de tu negocio y tus productos en la mente y experiencia de cliente.

El tercer término BRAND IDENTITY o Identidad Visual lo que algunos años atrás se conocía como Identidad Corporativa se refiere a la colección de elementos visuales, embajadores visuales como a mi me gusta llamarles, a través de los cuales tu marca se distinguirá en todos los medio impresos y digitales.

Esta colección de elementos visuales incluye el logo, tipografía o tipo de letra y elementos gráficos de apoyo como texturas, iconos, ilustraciones y fotografía.

El propósito de construir una marca sólida, es que tu marca transmita confianza, genere lealtad y posicione tu marca en el mercado.

Para lograr esto es vital que los elementos visuales sean consistentes a lo largo de todos los canales que se usan para llegar y estar en contacto con el cliente.
