Over the past 35 years, I’ve had the opportunity to design hundreds of logos for businesses, organizations, institutions, events, and communities, both close to home and around the world.

Every logo has a story. Some were created for new ventures, others marked milestones or helped organizations redefine themselves. Some are still in use today, but many have disappeared.

I’ve decided to revisit 100 of these logos and share them here, along with a little background on the projects, and some of thinking that went into their creation.

This isn’t a countdown or a ranking of my work. It’s simply a look back at a career spent turning ideas into visual identities, and at how design, like everything else, evolves over time.

I’ll be sharing a few logos each week, so despite the name, this project will last a little longer than 100 days.

100 DAYS OF LOGOS
001/100

Namaste Spa - Namaste Spa | Relax · Recharge · Revive
Moncton, NB, Canada - 2009

Keywords:
Nature, Relaxation, Tranquility, Health, Care, Welcoming.

Solution:
Since bamboo was going to be used throughout the interior design, I figured using bamboo leaves might be a starting point. Add a Namaste hand pose and there’s the solution.

L’an prochain, on y fêtera son 75e anniversaire. C’est incroyable comment le temps file.

Before creating the current logo for the City of Ville de / City of Dieppe, I was commissioned to design a logo for its 50th anniversary. Next year, the city will celebrate its 75th anniversary. Crazy how time flies when you’re having fun!

Recent window coverings for Atlantic Ballet Canada. Installed just at the end of the time “window” where such an application is possible. The joys of living in a northern climate.

Last week, something amazing happened in Moncton. A bunch of local creatives took a gamble, and it paid off. Here’s a few pics I managed to take during the day.

More than 150 people from across Atlantic Canada came together for CMD+Z, a new creative gathering organized by Creative Union Club. Designers, illustrators, photographers, filmmakers, writers, marketers and many students spent a day learning, sharing and connecting. A sold out event showed just how much creative talent we have here, and what can happen when we bring those people together, Moncton has all the ingredients to become The creative hotspot of Atlantic Canada.

Thank you to everyone who took a chance on the first CMD+Z, to the amazing venue Centre culturel Aberdeen and the many sponsors and supporters. I am glad to have been part of an amazing group that made it happen.

One of my favourite types of projects: being asked to refresh the visual presentation of an existing brand so it works better in its environment.

Second slide: the refreshed brand applied to a street banner.
