Started something pretty damn fun in the shop for Roseneath cars and coffee 🏁

Measuring, cutting, sanding, priming — Violet even clocked in to help with the prep. 🖤

For now, all you get is sawdust and primer.

The good part is coming. 👀

My last journal is full of rough sketches, business ideas, quotes, mistakes, plans that never happened, and jobs that somehow turned into some of my favourite projects.

Time to start another one.

Bittersweet one.

Taking down one of my very first window paintings. I painted these for free when I was just getting started, excited for every opportunity to practice and build a portfolio.

The daycare has since closed its doors, so it’s time for a fresh start. Soon these windows will say FOR RENT, ready for whatever comes next.

Sometimes moving forward means painting over the past. 🎨✨

A little reminder I needed myself…

A year ago I had no idea where this path would lead. Now I’m painting garage doors, windows, murals, signs, and saying yes to opportunities I never saw coming.

Not every project works out. Not every door opens when you want it to. But I’ve learned that forcing things rarely works. The right opportunities seem to show up when they’re supposed to, often after you’ve spent a lot of time wondering if you’re even heading in the right direction.

So if you’re in a season of waiting, creating, rebuilding, or figuring things out, keep going.

Trust your journey.
Trust your timing.

Off to another painting job. ☀️🎨

It’s hot, the fan is working overtime, and I’m taking breaks in the shade frequently. Not always glamorous, but I wouldn’t trade creating art for a living.

Also having some mixed feelings lately knowing my old car is on its way out. It’s been with me through a lot of life, kids, coffee runs, business, and adventures. Excited for what’s next, but a little sentimental too.

Now let’s see if we can survive this heat. 😅

Most people know me for window art, but The Painted Lady Creative was never meant to fit inside one box.

I paint pretty much anything that can hold paint.

I’ve always been a creative person. My dad was too. He could build, draw, fix, and create almost anything with his hands. He passed away when I was 10, but I still feel connected to him every time I pick up a paintbrush.

The older I get, the more I realize that creativity isn’t just something I do—it’s part of who I am.

So if you’ve got an idea that’s a little different, a little weird, or you’re not even sure if it’s possible, send me a message. I’m always up for a creative challenge.
