Ryan Finn left on his solo record attempt sailing NYC to SF last Tuesday, January 18th, he is flying on Jzerro on the Atlantic Ocean !

The water maker is fantastic. It draws very little power, make nice cool water and saves me 650 lbs of water. I love it.

Thanks to all the donors who generously contributed to this purchase through the GoFundMe campaign.

Jzerro is lighter than I've ever had her for an offshore trip and she's behaving very well because of that.

I sailed through my last rain shower overnight, and speed is now much more steady and pleasant.

I've ticked 3 boxes for the trip so far: leave Sheepshead Bay in one piece, cross the Gulf Stream safely and get past Bermuda before another front arrives.

Another front will arrive, but hopefully it won't effect me too badly if I can keep the pace up.

I will continue close reaching like this until my transition zone next week, which will be the gateway to the trade winds.
