Here are some exclusive behind the scenes photos of our FINAL day of shooting last Saturday. Sometimes things work out so well, and when we came back to the flooded, dead forest, it had become so lush. This incredible backdrop is what we have used to get all of our opening/intro shots for our upcoming short film.
With .gallo who showed up time and time again, he really stole the show this time with his performance as the one and only Jason Voorhees. He filmed his scenes in a full-face, thick and heavy silicone mask. He had minimal visibility, minimal comfort, and very challenging shooting conditions. He did this in the rain, on a hot and humid day, in a flooded forest, mostly face-down and drenched in mosquitoes. After having worn the mask for over two hours at one point, his face had become slightly disfigured due to pressure points and inflammation (as seen in the last photo) That being said he was always ready to get back to it after having a short break. 🫣
Despite the incredibly difficult shooting conditions, everyone came through and pushed until we got everything we needed. Special thanks to for coming through and helping us through the day.
Extra special thank you to Julio, who bravely took on the responsibility and role of Jason Voorhees, helping us have the perfect person for the part and helping us get all the incredible shots that we did! We couldn’t have done it without you man!! 🙌🙌
He did some really incredible work, and we can’t wait for you all to see what he did with the character and how well he portrayed a slasher legend like Jason.
Our film is a fan-made short film, following the events of Freddy VS Jason, as he wakes up again 20 years later, still in Camp Crystal Lake. We worked incredibly hard to make it happen and we hope you will all be proud of us. We hope to use this as a calling card to convince the right people to give us enough money to make a canon film or limited series.
