“Going vegan helped cure my brain cancer” 🌱
There are many stories like this, claiming making the switch to vegan has helped them cure ailments and diseases that doctors had been prescribing them medicine for for years. Gout, psoriasis, cancer, diabetes, obesity, inflammation, neuropathy, there is even a woman who says she reversed crippling rheumatoid arthritis by cutting meat from her diet.
But how? How does switching to a plant based diet help cure these diseases? Well let's take a quick look at the animals we are putting into our bodies.
🐔 Chickens
There are no regulations on cruelty in the chicken industry.
Chickens are not protected under the Humane slaughter act. This act requires animals to be unconscious or unable to feel pain during slaughter. Live poultry is supposed to be handled with “good commercial practice” meaning they are not supposed to die in any way other than slaughter. Yet with over 9 billion killed a year, the rules and regulations are hardly ever enforced in the chicken industry. Thousands of chickens die each day from improper care and conditions, and that doesn't include the male chicks that are ground up in an industrial meat grinder, moments after hatching.
The chickens in the meat industry have been very heavily genetically modified. Today’s meat chickens reach 3kg within 6 weeks. The chickens 50 years ago took 18 weeks to reach that weight. This accelerated weight gain causes lots of health problems to the chickens. Many suffer tremendously due to this rapid weight gain. By 40 days old most of the chickens bred for meat cannot walk anymore. They are forced to lay in their own waste, be picked on by the other chickens, or often eaten by the other chickens. As you can accurately assume, it is a breeding ground for disease.
The latest consumer report test showed 97% of chicken breast was contaminated with gut bacteria which could be very harmful to your health. Most of it was contaminated with f***l matter. To avoid disease, the chickens are pumped with medicines, antibiotics and hormones their whole lives. These medicines have been shown to cause antibiotic resistance in humans.
Scientists fear this antibiotic resistance. By consuming chicken you are consuming everything that chicken has ever consumed. The f***s, the antibiotics, the other dead chickens.
Mislabeling occurs more often than not in the chicken industry. They kill so many chickens at such a rapid rate that it is almost impossible to keep the “farm raised, no hormone added '' meat separate from the other meat or eggs. Tests done show that 1 in 6 packages of meat were mislabeled.
🐷 Pigs
Pigs carry around 30 diseases which can be easily passed to humans. In the bible it even states
“You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.” (Leviticus 11:8)
Pigs are actually very clean animals when given the space to roam and live. They will potty away from where they eat, sleep, and drink. They are social and intelligent. Some compare them to dogs. They can be potty trained and taught a variety of different tricks and commands.
In the meat industry though they are piled together, having to walk and sleep in their own f***s 24/7. Never being able to experience grass or breathe fresh air.
Being piled on top of each other, disease runs rampant. They have to be fed lots of drugs just to keep them alive. Pigs eat everything. They are literal garbage disposals. They eat all day, anything they can find. On these cramped lots that includes, dead pig carcasess, each other's tails and ears, maggots, food covered in f***s and blood of other pigs, and videos have shown the pigs eating cancerous growths off of other pigs. The stronger pigs will feed on the weaker and sick ones.
Mother pigs are kept in a very small cage called a ‘gestation crate’. In this crate she can take two steps forward or backward and lay down, that's it. The others are often covered in sores and wounds from having to lay on cement all day. Some are often found dead, with the baby piglets still trying to suck on her ni***es for milk, or eating her body.
The piglets that survive the first few days after birth, and have not died from disease, or being laid on by the mother, will have their teeth and tails cut off. This is done without pain relief or sedation. This process almost always leads to an infection, due to the unclean environment, and so the piglets will be pumped with antibiotics. By the time the pigs are ready to be slaughtered, over 70% of them have pneumonia. To think you are eating a pig that wasn't sick, is false hope. Over 1000 pigs are killed every hour, making it impossible to give them a humane and painless death.
The smaller ones are usually electrocuted with a prong, until they pass out (often waking back up while their throats are being slit). While bigger ones are forced into gas chambers and suffocated. Sometimes the carbon dioxide does not kill them, and they are put in scalding water still alive, being drowned to death instead.
Pork eaters have a 40% percent higher chance of getting cancer than other meat-eaters. The meat and fat of pigs absorb toxins, their meat is 30x more toxic than chicken or cow. Pigs can't sweat so the toxins remain in the body. Which is then served to you.
🐮 Cows
Cows are sentient beings. They can recognize over 100 other cows. They have even been shown to grieve when one of their herd members dies or is taken away.
In the meat industry, female cows are forcefully inseminated. Their baby cows are taken from them the day after birth. This causes a lot of stress to the mother and baby. The females are grown for milk and meat, while the males are usually made into veal. Males that are kept will go through castration and having their horns removed, all without pain killers.
Cows in the meat industry are grown fast. This rapid growth is caused by hormones and selective breeding. Because of this most cows become lame before the age of 2. Their bones cannot support the extra weight. They suffer sores, broken bones, inability to walk and infections. The turn over time in the cow industry is fast. They want to grow and slaughter and process as many as possible in as little time as possible. To kill them, a metal rod is shot into their brain and then their throats are slit.
Cow milk is for growing a baby cow. Just as human milk is for growing a baby human. Drinking cow milk is drinking something full of hormones not meant for you. Studies show these hormones cause weight gain and inflammation in humans. If you can't lose weight, cut the milk, switch to an alternative. Scientists have found a sugar, called Neu5Gc, within red meat. This sugar naturally occurs within carnivorous animals but not within humans.
What does this mean for you?
The human body reacts to Neu5Gc as if it's a harmful bacteria. Inflammation builds and your immune system weakens as your body tries to “fight off” this bacteria. The molecule was also tested in mice and shown to promote cancer cell growth.
🐟 Fish
If you eat fish you almost 100% have parasites. Parasites are very concerning, but the toxicity levels should be more concerning. High PCBs or polychlorinated biphenyls levels can cause vision loss, loss of muscle function, mood swings, memory loss, and a destroyed nervous system.
Pcbs are synthetic chemicals that were banned in the 1970s, but only after that had caused severe damage on the planet. They act like hormones and destroy the nervous system causing cancer, infertility, memory loss and much more.
Inuits who have a majority diet of fish had their fat tested and had a level of pcb toxin in their flesh that would consider them to be labeled as toxic waste. Even in breast milk. Oceans are being treated as garbage dumps. Runoff from nuclear power plants, farming, sewers, garbage dumps are pouring into the ocean, all those toxins getting soaked up by the fish. Fish can concentrate very high levels of toxins in their skin and flesh.
The accumulation happens when smaller fish are eaten by bigger fish, and the pcbs get concentrated in their bodies in high amounts, so much so that they are considered toxic waste and should not be consumed. There is no regulation for this. Mislabeling occurs very often in the fishing industry. 50% of items labeled as tuna are not tuna. Fish are being wiped out from over fishing. 30% of fishing businesses are on the verge of collapse because there is just no more fish. The ocean needs to recover and it's not going to be able to unless we leave the ocean alone and let it flourish.
Fishing kills animals you don't eat and they don't sell. Sea lions, whales, dolphins, walruses, turtles, up to 300,000 animals get killed each year from nets and fishermen.

One person can make a difference.
If a whole bunch of 1 persons, stop buying meat, stop buying fish, stop letting those companies make a sale, they will be forced to slow down or even stop. This would be making the world and environment a better place.
Your body will also thank you. Giving it time to detox from processing flesh, toxins, hormones, and heavy metals, which our bodies do not want to have inside of them.
Nowadays vegan businesses and products are popping up left and right. It's as simple as picking a different item off the shelf. Making a small swap can save hundreds of lives a year. Studies also show people who switch to vegan have a lower mortality rate when it comes to life threatening diseases like obesity, heart disease and diabetes.
