After years in PR, I've noticed that media coverage isn't random — it follows a pattern:

📰 Articles You Get = Brand Strength + Current Event Context + Novelty of Your News

Here's why it matters:
→ Brand strength is your baseline. Patagonia gets covered because journalists already trust them. But if your brand isn't a household name, you can still break through on the other two.

→ Current event context is the most underused lever. Oreo turned a Super Bowl blackout into 16,000 retweets and coverage in the Washington Post. One fintech company used systematic newsjacking to earn 192 placements before its IPO. Timing multiplies everything.

Meltwater et We. Communications ont sondé plus de 1 100 professionnels des RP à travers le monde. Les constats :
→ Défi #1 : le manque de ressources (24 %)
→ La moitié des équipes RP comptent moins de 5 personnes
