As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for the post-production of a wide array of commercial, promotional, corporate, social media, and short-form video content. We're in search of someone with a passion for editing engaging and creative video content that will uphold and surpass 5 Pound Media's quality standards, while bringing their own style and vision to each project, both big and small.

*This position will begin on a per-contract basis, with the potential of growing into a part or full-time position.*

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing workload for multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

• Provide and receive creative direction and feedback from our production team.

• Work independently and see to it that the desired vision and story of each project is brought to life.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom and After Effects.

• Proficient in Videography, including (but not limited to) pre-production tasks, camera operation, and video editing. Versatility in project types is a must, including commercial and editorial content.

• Knowledge of contemporary cameras, file formats, codecs and their proper handling in a post workflow.

• Ability to colour correct and grade footage.

• Ability to design basic title cards and lower thirds for video.

• Must have excellent organizational skills when it comes to structuring and organization projects, file naming, back-ups and archiving.

• Must be a great communicator, in-person and remote.

• Must be able to get in the heads of the production team and client in order to bring our collective vision to life.

• A keen eye for detail and high standards of work, and a commitment to the development process.

• English (both written and spoken) proficiency.

• Fluently bilingual (French and other languages an asset).

As a Production Manager, you will lead the management and delivery of content across a large group of clients, ranging in size and industry from start-ups to multinational brands. You will be responsible for building and managing production teams, and ensuring the requirements, objectives and milestones of each project is met.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the development, production and delivery of content.

• Manage day-to-day tasks and deadlines to ensure that production schedules are maintained.

• Lead internal and external teams with communication on task planning, time tracking, feedback tracking and delivery tracking.

• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, and be in charge of tracking the quality of deliverables and providing feedback (under guidance of a Producer).

• Assist Producers and Directors with the development of pitches, proposals and budgets.

• Source and coordinate external hires, talent, craft services, wardrobe, release forms and location scouts.

• Assist in automating processes and workflows.

• Create and maintain internal documents and standards of practice.

• Assist with long-term marketing initiatives and in-house projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills to deliver quality projects and content within tight deadlines.

• Must be a great communicator

• Must have knowledge in video production

• A keen eye for detail and high standards of work, and a commitment to the development process.

• Project management knowledge

• Familiar with project management software (Asana, or similar)

• Familiar with time tracking software (Harvest, or similar)

• English (both written and spoken) proficiency

• Fluently bilingual (French and other languages an asset)

🎥 Our Director Kyle Smith will be working on a livestream set tonight for Geoffroy. Don't worry, all equipment will be controlled remotely from a separate room to ensure everyone's safety. Make sure to tune in!

This Thursday at 7PM I‘ll be doing a 45min live set from our practice space in Montreal. It’ll be streamed live on Facebook at 7PM. We've taken all extra steps to ensure this is a “crewless” shoot with HD cameras on robotic arms. All necessary precautions are being taken to ensure everyone’s safety.
