Want to run live workshops or Q&As with your community — without leaving GoHighLevel? Now you can.

GHL just added Live Rooms to Communities Events. Here's how to set one up:

1. Go to your Community in GHL and navigate to Events.
2. Create a new event and select "Live Room" as the event type (you can still use Zoom or Google Meet links if you prefer).
3. Set your date, time, and event details.
4. When the event goes live, attendees join directly inside your GHL community — no third-party app needed.

Features include host controls, live text chat alongside video, emoji reactions, and a "raise hand" feature so attendees can request the mic.

This is great for course creators, coaches, membership communities, and agencies running client training.

If you're already using GHL Communities, give this a try on your next event.

New CFIB data just dropped and it confirms what a lot of Canadian small business owners are feeling: crime is a growing daily pressure.

The numbers: 50% of small business owners say crime has increased in their community this past year. Shoplifting under $5,000 is up 66% since 2014. And in cities like Toronto and Winnipeg, retail theft has spiked significantly.

The real cost isn't just the stolen merchandise. It's the time spent on security measures, the money invested in cameras and systems, and the mental energy that should be going toward growing the business.

Some retailers have started equipping staff with body cameras. Others are redesigning store layouts. But for most small businesses, the solutions are expensive and the support is limited.

If this is affecting your business, stay connected with your local CFIB chapter and your business community. The more visibility this issue gets, the more likely we are to see meaningful policy responses.

Social commerce isn't coming. It's already here — and small businesses are the ones winning with it.

TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping, Facebook Shops — these aren't just features anymore. They're full sales channels. And the businesses that are using short-form video content tied to in-app checkout are seeing real revenue from platforms that used to be just for brand awareness.

Here's what makes this different from traditional e-commerce: the discovery happens IN the content. Someone watches a 30-second video, sees the product, and buys it without leaving the app.

If you sell a physical product and you're not experimenting with social commerce yet, here's a simple starting point: pick ONE product, create a short video showing it in use, and list it in your shop. Test it for two weeks and see what happens.

You don't need a huge following. You need a good product and a decent video.

There's a new AI tool that every local business owner should know about: Durable Discoverability.

Here's the problem it solves: more than 50% of consumers now use AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) to find local businesses. But most businesses have no idea if those AI tools are actually recommending them.

Durable Discoverability gives you a single dashboard that shows your visibility across all major AI platforms. It checks for inconsistencies in your business info across directories and shows how you rank against local competitors in AI search results.

This is part of what's being called GEO — Generative Engine Optimization. Think of it as SEO's next chapter, focused on how AI recommends you instead of how Google ranks you.

It's free to start. If you run a local business, this is worth five minutes of your time.

Check it out at durable.com.

GoHighLevel just released Contact Page Customization in Labs — and it's worth turning on today.

Here's what it does: you can now fully customize what your contact detail page looks like inside GHL. Rearrange modules, choose different panel layouts, and create specific views for different team members.

Why that matters: your sales rep doesn't need to see the same info as your support person. A cleaner contact page means faster decisions and fewer mistakes.

This has been one of the most requested features in the GHL community for a while. It's in Labs now, which means you need to opt in.

Go to Settings > Labs > Contact Page Customization and flip it on. Start building views that match how your team actually works.

What's one thing you'd change about the default GHL contact page?

Here's the 3-step setup for automated review requests in GoHighLevel. Takes about 20 minutes to configure.

STEP 1 — Create your review request template
Go to Marketing → Templates. Build a short SMS or email template asking for a review. Keep it 2-3 sentences. Include a direct link to your Google Review page (find this in your Google Business Profile dashboard).

STEP 2 — Build the automation trigger
In Workflows, create a new workflow. Set the trigger to "Appointment Status Changed → Completed" (or "Invoice Paid" if that fits your business). Add a 24-48 hour wait step, then add your review request template.

STEP 3 — Add a negative feedback filter
Before the review link sends, add a conditional branch: if the contact has indicated dissatisfaction, route them to a private feedback form instead of a public review page. This protects your reputation from avoidable 1-star reviews.

Publish. Test it once on yourself. Let it run.

Have questions about any of these steps? Drop them in the comments.

GoHighLevel just made some of its best AI features free to use — and this is worth knowing about.

As of April 7, 2026, HighLevel announced that several AI features — including the Workflow AI Builder — no longer consume AI credits and are free to use under fair-usage protections.

What this means for you: you can now build automations using plain-English descriptions without worrying about credit costs. Describe the workflow you want, and the AI builds the trigger/action structure. No coding required.

For agencies and small business owners who've been hesitant about the AI features because of credit usage concerns — that barrier is largely gone.

Worth checking your AI settings inside your GHL account if you haven't recently. Some pricing changes happened quietly.

GoHighLevel continues to be one of the most aggressively evolving platforms in this space. Staying current on what's free vs. paid matters for your bottom line.

Small business owners spend thousands on ads and almost nothing on the thing that converts better than any ad: reviews.

Think about it. When someone searches for your business for the first time, what's the first thing they check? Stars. Reviews. What other people said.

That's not just reputation management — that's top-of-funnel marketing. A business with 4.8 stars and 200 reviews doesn't need to spend as much convincing new clients to trust them. The trust is already there before they even click your website.

Three things to do this week:
1. Audit your current review count on Google
2. Set up an automated review request (even a simple email works)
3. Respond to every review — good and bad

Your review strategy doesn't need to be complicated. It just needs to be consistent.

What if every meeting you attended automatically produced clean notes, action items, and a searchable transcript — without you lifting a finger?

That's what Fireflies.ai does. And it's one of the most practical AI tools for small business owners right now.

How it works: Fireflies joins your Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams call as a virtual notetaker. It records, transcribes, and summarizes the whole conversation. By the time you're back at your desk, the action items are already in your inbox.

The real value is the search feature. Every meeting you've ever recorded becomes searchable. Need to find what a client said about their budget three months ago? Search it.

Pricing starts free for individuals. Paid plans run about $18/month. For small teams, it's one of the best "quiet ROI" tools available — you save time, stop missing details, and stop re-asking questions you've already answered.

Did you know GoHighLevel has a full reputation management module built right in?

Most GHL users set up their pipelines, run their automations — and never touch the reputation tab. That's a missed opportunity.

Here's what it actually does: after a job is completed or an invoice is paid, GHL automatically sends a review request via SMS or email. Your client gets a direct link to your Google Review page. No manual outreach required.

The best part: Reviews AI. Set it to Auto-Pilot mode and it generates a contextually relevant response to every new Google review on your behalf — or use Suggestive mode if you want to approve each response first.

New in 2026: you can now track up to 3 competitors side-by-side in the reputation dashboard — their star rating, review volume, review velocity, and keyword trends from their reviews.

Your reputation is a marketing asset. GHL makes it automated. Have you set this up yet? Drop a comment and I can walk you through it.
