For the last 13 years, I've done what so many people are told to do. I worked hard.
Right out of high school, I started a plumbing apprenticeship. I put in over 6,000 hours, learned valuable skills, and gained real world experience. In the end, though, it wasn't the path that was meant for me.
From there, I worked factory jobs, landscaping, and eventually found a career with a water company. For six years, I gave that company everything I had. My blood, sweat, and tears. I worked my way up to becoming a supervisor, and I was genuinely proud of what I accomplished.
Like many people, I believed that working hard for a good company meant I had a secure future.
Then life reminded me that job security isn't always guaranteed.
Looking back, I also realize an opportunity came along years ago that I passed up because I thought staying with the "safe" job was the smarter choice.
Today, I see things differently.
The leadership, communication, problem solving, and people skills I developed throughout my career didn't go to waste. They prepared me for something bigger.
Instead of spending my life building someone else's dream, I've chosen to start building my own while helping others do the same.
One of the biggest differences this time is that I'm not doing it alone.
I have a coach who's helping guide me, challenge me, and teach me what it takes to build something that can create long term freedom instead of simply trading time for money. Having someone who's already walked the path has made all the difference.
Now, I want to pay that forward.
I want to be there for people who are where I once was. Working hard, doing everything right, yet wondering if there's something more. Whether it's learning new skills, building confidence, creating additional income, or simply having someone in your corner, I believe we all deserve that kind of support.
This isn't about getting rich overnight.
It's about creating options, building a more secure future, growing as a person, and surrounding yourself with people who genuinely want to see you succeed.
It's not for everyone, and that's okay.
