Well another one of my signs has popped up in Thunder Bay, this time at the Marina! Yay! It's quite fun bringing Paul's vision to life - a great creative director!

Honoured to work with this group from afar. My mom was one of the co-founders of Canadian Lighthouses of Lake Superior. Hard to imagine that these lighthouses were in jeopardy a few years ago! And now... people are getting to live the lighthouse experience, as I did as a child, boating with my family/uncles/aunts/cousins from one to the next. It's amazing what people can do when they work together huh! Such a great organization.

I love what I do for my day job. I love that I am still a part of the signs popping up in Thunder Bay through Canadian Lighthouses of Lake Superior. This one is at Silver Islet. I remember our family Sunday drives there with my mom and dad most summers, always needing to stop at the general store for candy. Boy I had fun designing this one under Pauls creative direction. I love you Lake Superior! I hope to see you sooooon.

My grandfathers ashes are spread at the top of one of those islands in the foggy distant yander...

When boaters or tourist arrive at the hamlet of Silver Islet, one of the first questions is, “where is the mine?” This sign showcase the north shore from the Giant in the west to Porphyry Island in the east. Visitors and boaters can get a better fix on area attractions such as the lighthouses! Thanks to all the people who helped in the sign design and install team including Volunteers Ted Duke and Archie Hoogsteen!

Oh just a quick 2 minute sketch by our illustrator Bob Goodall. He's so talented. And what a great creative brainstorm with our new client who's already so full of oomph. Inspired and fire up! Love when clients say "go for it - I trust you'll bring this vision to life". So excited to unveil this special project when the time comes. But for now, back to the drawing/design board...
