We gave their website a full refresh, optimised it for online bookings, made it mobile-friendly, cleaned up their Google profile, refreshed their social bios, and brought in new photography so everything feels modern, polished, and actually reflective of the salon people already love.⁠

That’s Jenna from Fate Salon reflecting on our work together. She and Vince, the owner and heart behind the salon, have built a trusted Fort Erie staple for over 55 years, carrying on a family legacy with modern passion.⁠
⁠
We audited their digital presence, refreshed their website, optimized it for online bookings, made sure it works beautifully on mobile, cleaned up their Google profile, updated their social bios, and brought in crisp new photography so everything matches the real-life experience clients love.⁠

Working directly with Jenna and Vince made this one extra special. Vince took over the salon from his father, Reno, who first opened it in 1967, and that sense of history and care is baked into everything they do.⁠

If the food was the pulse of the Culinary Federation’s annual conference, the people were the heart.⁠

Chefs, students, competitors, instructors, sponsors... this event brought together all corners of the culinary world, and the energy was palpable.⁠
⁠
Between competitions, demos, sponsor exhibits, receptions, workshops, photo booths, and a lot of hallway conversations, we captured thousands of images — quietly, quickly, and without getting in the way.⁠
⁠
Some moments were full of motion and adrenaline. Others were quieter: chefs watching closely, young cooks asking questions, someone plating with total focus.⁠

When the Culinary Federation’s annual conference came to Niagara Falls, food wasn’t just part of the experience — it was the experience. From the welcome reception to the awards gala, nearly every event revolved around showcasing it.⁠
⁠
That meant, in between covering live demos, workshops, galas, chef competitions, photo booths, and hundreds of candid moments, we also had to photograph a lot of food — quickly, naturally, and without interrupting the flow of service.⁠
⁠
All of these dishes were captured on the go, using only available light and fast instincts to get the shot before the plate moved (or vanished entirely).⁠
⁠
From cocktail bites to award-winning entrées, this is just a taste of the incredible culinary talent on display.⁠

You don’t always need models, lights, or a big production to get great shots. You just need a place with real character, and the instincts to capture it.⁠

That was the story at Sons & Daughters Winery in Fonthill.⁠
⁠
This was part of a whirlwind day of run-and-gun shooting for Niagara South Coast Tourism. ⁠
⁠
No lights, no models, no elaborate setups. ⁠
⁠
Just a camera, a lot of moving around, and the instincts to quickly capture what makes these places special.⁠
⁠
And it’s easy to see what makes this one stand out.⁠
⁠
⁠Nestled at the top of the Fonthill Kame Delta, Sons & Daughters Winery is surrounded by some of the most beautiful, rolling natural landscapes in Niagara. ⁠
⁠
Their small-batch wines — grown, harvested, and bottled right on-site — are a true reflection of this place: fresh, expressive, and full of character.⁠ ⁠ ⁠
⁠
We were in and out in under 30 minutes, but in that short window, we caught it all: the vines, the vibrant fall gardens, the sunny tasting patio, the bottles lined up against the bright cellar walls, and of course, a little swirl of local wine catching the colours of the trees.⁠

Welcome to Port Colborne, where the sunsets are soft and the airspace is, mercifully, not restricted! ⁠
⁠
Did you know that large parts of Niagara — including areas in Niagara Falls, NOTL, St. Catharines, Thorold, and Welland — are actually controlled airspace? ⁠
⁠
That means not every drone pilot can legally fly there. It depends on their certification, their equipment, and in some cases, complex pre-approved flight authorizations.⁠
⁠
Even in uncontrolled airspace, most drones still require at least a Basic Operations license to get off the ground.⁠
⁠
We’re certified by Transport Canada and fly with approved gear that lets us safely and legally operate almost anywhere in Niagara, including most controlled airspace (with the very notable exception of the 2 KM bubble around the Falls, which requires approvals, permits, stacks of paperwork, fees, patience… and possibly a sacrificial offering).⁠
⁠
This one, captured at Sugarloaf Marina and Clarence Street Bridge for Niagara South Coast Tourism, was one of the easy ones. ⁠

Ridgeville may be tiny, but the charm? Off the charts.⁠

As part of our ongoing work with Niagara South Coast Tourism, we spent the day in this friendly little corner of Pelham capturing visuals to help showcase what makes the area so special — through the lens of its local businesses.⁠
⁠
The goal? To create warm, authentic, tourism-ready imagery that highlights the character of the South Coast and gives visitors a real sense of what’s waiting here.⁠

This cozy café and shop is all about doing things right, from organic, scratch-made food to fair trade coffee and compostable takeout containers. Settle in for lunch and you’ll see why it’s a local favourite.⁠

More than a shop, it’s an experience. A chaotic, delightful, ever-changing collection of antiques, oddities, and one-of-a-kind finds curated by Bob O’Hara, a lifelong “junker” with a gift for the deal and a story for every object. It’s a little wild, a little dusty, and completely unforgettable.⁠

Between launching a drone from a moving boat, crouching inches from the water to get the right angle, and trudging barefoot through the sand, this shoot at Sugarloaf Marina was anything but boring — and absolutely worth it.⁠
⁠
It was part of a larger project we took on last fall for Niagara South Coast Tourism, the destination marketing organization for Fort Erie, Pelham, Port Colborne, and Wainfleet. We've been working with them since 2021, alongside tourism coordinator Greg Higginbotham, helping build a visual library that captures the real spirit of the region.⁠
⁠
We’re proud to say this is our backyard. While Niagara Falls gets all the attention, Niagara's South Coast has its own rhythm — easygoing but full of life, with hidden beaches, wide open water, a rich tapestry of arts and history, and the kind of everyday magic that doesn't need much staging.⁠
⁠
We kept this shoot casual and flexible — giving a local family space to just have fun, while we captured it as it unfolded. And that energy translates. Real joy, real connection, and the kind of visuals that don’t feel like stock.⁠
⁠
Through a mix of lifestyle photography, drone footage, and environmental shots, we built a content library that can be used across social, print, web, and beyond. Not just beautiful imagery — but strategic, versatile tools that help tell the South Coast’s story in a way that feels true.⁠

Liz from In Love With Tarot told us she’s really not a camera person.⁠

In fact, she ranked it just above stepping on a Lego and slightly below filing taxes.⁠
⁠
So naturally… we booked her a full-day shoot.⁠
⁠
(Kidding. Kind of.)⁠
⁠
But we did make the process feel easy: from helping her choose outfits and props and locations, to creating a space where she could show up comfortably and confidently. ⁠
⁠
No retouching, either. Liz wanted to show up as herself, not a filtered version (though special shout-out to Tangl'D Hair Salon – another one of our clients – for the camera-ready hair). And that made total sense, because her whole business is built around helping people learn tarot in a way that’s down-to-earth and intuitive.⁠
⁠
The photos we created now give her a library of ready-to-use visuals she can pull from for anything — course launches, emails, Instagram posts, landing pages, you name it. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about building trust, growing her personal brand, and driving sales.⁠
