The Instagram Explore tab specifically shows you content from users that you are not currently following - BUT content that you are likely to engage with and be interested in, based on your past interactions on the app.
Therefore, this means that having your content show up on the Explore tab can exponentially help your account grow. So how do we get on there? Well there is no perfect formula, but there are some things we can try out.
The first thing is checking your own Instagram Explore tab. What shows up? Take note. Notice the lighting, the caption length, the hashtags used, content type (video or static), if it is a graphic or photo, does it include human faces, etc. Be overly analytically because that is what will help you to create the same type of content.
Another thing you can do is to diversify your content. While videos are currently king, don't exclusively post videos. Use it all. Carousels actually produce higher engagement than any other content type. Does it reach alot of people? Not necessarily, but it DOES provoke engagement.
As eluded to above and in our past posts, you SERIOUSLY need to be putting time into creating videos. Specifically Reels, since all videos under 15 seconds will automatically become reels, and the new feed format is designed for a 9:16 ratio, which is literally the Reel format.
Have you ever shown up on the explore page? What type of content was it?
