What you don’t see behind this painting is all the stretching, squatting, crawling, twisting, and awkward positions it takes to reach every little detail.

Art isn’t always glamorous... sometimes it’s just me convincing myself that this position is totally comfortable. 😂

Sometimes it’s not just about painting a beautiful wall. A lot of work happens before the creative part begins.

For this project, I couldn’t paint directly onto the outdoor brick wall, so I had to prepare a proper support first. That meant sourcing the materials, using two large sheets of high-quality plywood, sealing the edges for protection, and building a frame behind the panels.
The frame creates a gap between the wall and the boards, allowing air to circulate and helping keep everything straight and stable over time, despite changing weather conditions.

After a coat of primer, the surface was finally ready for paint.

A lot of preparation goes into creating a mural that will last.
