Hi, new friends!
With so many new faces joining this community, I thought it was the perfect time to introduce myself again. I’m Vanessa Gordino, a custom hand-painted muralist and designer based in Oakville, Canada.

I love transforming ordinary spaces into something truly special through hand-painted art — from playful murals and magical landscapes for children, to eye-catching café blackboards, menus, and unique indoor designs that turn walls into works of art.

Every project is created with your space, personality, and vision in mind. No two walls — or ideas — are ever the same. ✨

Have a wall that could use a little magic? 🖌️
Send me a DM or tell me about your dream project in the comments. I’d love to hear your ideas and bring them to life!

From a blank wall to a completely new feeling ✨

I loved bringing this basement to life with a custom, organic mural, soft shapes, subtle movement, and colour thoughtfully chosen to complement the space and make it feel warm, inviting, and uniquely theirs.

Every wall has its own story, and I love creating murals that feel personal, intentional, and truly made for your home. 🎨🤍

What you don’t see behind this painting is all the stretching, squatting, crawling, twisting, and awkward positions it takes to reach every little detail.

Art isn’t always glamorous... sometimes it’s just me convincing myself that this position is totally comfortable. 😂

Sometimes it’s not just about painting a beautiful wall. A lot of work happens before the creative part begins.

For this project, I couldn’t paint directly onto the outdoor brick wall, so I had to prepare a proper support first. That meant sourcing the materials, using two large sheets of high-quality plywood, sealing the edges for protection, and building a frame behind the panels.
The frame creates a gap between the wall and the boards, allowing air to circulate and helping keep everything straight and stable over time, despite changing weather conditions.

After a coat of primer, the surface was finally ready for paint.

A lot of preparation goes into creating a mural that will last.

Custom dinosaurs mural for boys bedroom 🦖

The kids knew exactly what they wanted—4 dinos, including a Carnotaurus (not a T-Rex 😄). I designed and painted everything to fit perfectly around the space and future furniture.

That’s the magic of custom—it’s made just for you.
