Cross-posting can help you reach a wider audience, though you need to watch out for simple mistakes

⚪ When it comes to posting your content, you should not limit it to a singular site. However, when it comes to cross-posting, sharing the same content on different social media platforms, there are some important points to keep in mind.

⚪ The main 2 points are keeping in mind each sites unique upload requirements and forgetting to properly edit content. The first is fairly obvious. Each site has different image, video and text limits that you need to adjust for.

⚪ The 2nd point follows on from this, in that you need to make sure each piece of content for each platform is properly edited for it, such as the right image size. A common mistake recently the Tik Tok logo not being edited out, when uploaded to Reels, leading to it being deprioritized.

⚪ Starting in 2020, Facebook Shops, like many other social commerce platforms, saw large amounts of users turn to both sell and buy from in 2020 and 2021.

⚪ Big and small businesses alike have turned to it, with over 250 million active stores worldwide by June of last year. As more brands look to get online, especially with social commerce, more will turn to Facebook Shops in 2022.

⚪ As many brands may find, Facebook Shops has a advantage on other social commerce platforms in that Facebook has the most users of any social media platform. If the main demographic of a companies audience is on Facebook, Shops is the go-to choice.

Remember to keep your Instagram captions short and sweet, don't let it get wordy

⚪ The caption for a post is important on any social media platform, especially on Instagram. However, you want to make sure you get the information across without creating a wordy post.

⚪ Whilst Instagram has a maximum limit of 2200 characters, roughly 350 to 550 words, you want to aim below this level. Whilst not every post needs to be 1 line long, look towards being easy-to-read.

⚪ Make sure to not let every word be in a block of text and look to get your information across quickly and easily, so as to keep your readers eye.

Half of 16-24 Internet users turn to social media to research brands and products

⚪ Social media is a great place for brands to connect with customers and help get the word out about new updates and product releases. It has also rapidly become one of the first stops consumers will go to when researching about a brand.

⚪ Statistics from Hootsuite's 2022 trend report found that 53.2% of 16-24 year old turn to social media when researching a brand. This went ahead of search engines, which 51% used.

⚪ This highlights the importance of not only keeping your social media prescence up-to-date, but also making sure it has new content and can easily direct users to your store, contact details and latest updates.

⚪ User-generated content can have a major impact on convincing people to shop with a certain brand. The Stackla Report shows that it is shown to be more impactful then influencer content.

⚪ According to the report, user-generated content is 8.7 times more impactful then that of content created by influencers, and 6.6 times more impactful than branded content.

⚪ User-generated content resonates well with audiences as it shows authenticity to the products and services your brand provides, as well as potentially moving other users further down the sales funnel.
