August 2026 vs. August 2025

*The number of active listings in Orangeville decreased by 19 in August 2026 as compared to August 2025.

*The number of new listings that came on the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board in August 2026 vs. August 2025 decreased by 19 homes or 24.36%.

*The number of homes sold increased by 7.69% in August 2026 vs. August 2025.

*The average days on the market increased from 42 days to 46 days.

*Average sale prices were down by 0.49%.

Year to Date 2026 vs. Year to Date 2025

*The number of homes listed in Orangeville, year-to-date decreased from 667 to 600, which is a decrease of 10.04%.

*The number of homes sold decreased from 260 to 235 which is a decrease of 9.62%.

*The average days on the market increased from 35 days to 42 days.

*Average sale prices were down year over year by 6.02%.

ONTARIO LANDLORDS & TENANTS — BIG CHANGES ARE COMING SEPTEMBER 21! 🏠

If you own a rental property — or you’re a tenant — there are some important changes to Ontario’s rental rules you should know about.

Some changes already took effect July 1:

✅ Tenants gained new rights around installing their own air conditioning.
✅ New rules apply to payment agreements involving rent arrears.
✅ The deadline to request a review of a Landlord and Tenant Board order was shortened from 30 days to just 15 days.

But there are MORE changes coming September 21st.

One of the biggest?

If rent isn’t paid, the notice period on an N4 is changing from 14 days to just 7 days for monthly and yearly tenancies.
There will also be clearer rules around what qualifies as persistent late payment of rent.

And there are changes affecting what happens when tenants want to raise other issues during a hearing involving unpaid rent.
Whether you're a landlord or a tenant, these changes could have a real impact.
