As summer comes to a close, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the incredible people, businesses and community partners who have helped make our first 11 issues such an amazing success! 💛🐝

From day one, our mission has been simple: to create a positive-vibe social media paper that celebrates the people, businesses and incredible stories happening right here in Durham Region. ✔️✔️

Now, as we get ready to release Issue #12 and celebrate our 1-YEAR ANNIVERSARY this September, we’re even more excited about what’s coming next.

👀 Hint, hint… The Local Buzz is growing!

We’ll be announcing some exciting expansion plans for 2027 and beyond — including new cities across the GTA!

We’ve been fortunate to build relationships with so many amazing partners over the past year. There are far too many to thank in one post, so over the coming weeks we’ll be highlighting and thanking each of them individually.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who has picked up a copy, shared a story, supported a local business, advertised with us or simply helped spread The Buzz. 🐝

We had a day today supporting Their Opportunity theiropp at their annual golf tournament at Deer Creek! Was a beautiful day and we couldn’t be happier to support Randy Gill and his amazing team who do so much for kids.

Oh and we won so that helped too! ;)

We’re looking for volunteers to join us for the 2026 Steering for Steer Friends Automotive Festival on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Stouffville Athletic Centre!

As we continue building on the success of last year’s event, we’re excited to welcome back familiar faces and new volunteers to help make the day unforgettable. From assisting with event logistics to welcoming guests and supporting an inclusive, community-focused atmosphere, every volunteer plays an important role.
