We’ve been working hard on DartPath—a new interactive app from Porter Darts and Apparel Designs designed to help new players and kids master their checkouts visually. Now, we need your help to cross the finish line!

​Grab your darts, load up the DartPath beta, and put it to the test. If you hit a snag, spot a bug, or just have a brilliant idea on how we can make it better, send us a message. Your feedback is crucial to helping us grow the sport!

​What is DartPath?

​DartPath is a visual finishing assistant that acts like a coach in your pocket. Instead of getting stuck staring at the board trying to do the math, players can enter any score from 40 to 170 and instantly see the best way to finish the game. It’s perfect for youth leagues, family game nights, or anyone learning the ropes.

​How It Helps Beginners Learn:

​Takes the Pressure Off the Math: Kids can focus on their form and throwing technique without getting frustrated by complex subtraction and multiples. (Though it secretly helps them practice their math skills, too!)

​Visual Target Guidance: DartPath doesn't just spit out numbers; it provides visual cues on the board. This helps visual learners map out their strategy and understand why certain targets are the right choice.

​Builds Good Habits Early: By showing the most efficient checkout paths, it teaches new players the right way to navigate the board from day one, setting them up for a lifetime of enjoying the sport.

​How to Use DartPath

​1. Enter Your Score

When you get down to the business end of the leg, just look at your remaining score (anywhere from 40 to 170) and type it into the app.

​2. Follow the Visual Path

DartPath instantly displays the most efficient, beginner-friendly route to a checkout. Instead of just showing a list of numbers, the app highlights the targets right on the board so you know exactly where to aim your first dart.

​3. Use the "Practice" Button When You Miss

Darts is a game of millimeters, and misses happen! If you don't hit your target (for example, you have 85 and aim for a Treble 15 but hit a single 10), tap the Practice button and select the segment you actually hit.

​4. Instantly Recalculate

DartPath will immediately do the math for you and show you exactly what to aim for with your remaining two darts so you can still find your way to a winning double.

​Beta Tester Note: Because the app is still in development, we need your help testing the Practice button! Try throwing some wild darts on purpose, enter them into the app, and let us know if the newly calculated path makes sense or if you catch any bugs.

🎯 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE PORTER'S FAMILY! 🎯

​Porter's Darts and Apparel Designs is incredibly proud to announce that our local talent has officially punched their tickets to Nationals! 🇨🇦✈️

​When it comes to stepping up to the oche under pressure, experience is everything. We want to send a massive shoutout to three true veterans of the sport who are representing the EODA on the national stage:

​Kayla Smith – Though she is only in her first few years playing in the adult division, she brings the poise, precision, and focus of a lifelong veteran to the board. What an incredible transition and a well-deserved spot! 💥

​Ross Snook – A true veteran of the game, stepping up once again and proving that his incredible skill and consistency belong at the absolute top! 🎯

​Jean Legault – Not only making the national team, but doing it as your official EODA Provincial Champion! A seasoned veteran who showed everyone exactly how it's done. 🏆🔥

​We also want to send a HUGE congratulations to the other 14 incredible players who fought hard and earned their spots! This entire 17-player squad is packed with top-tier talent, and we couldn't be more excited to see Eastern Ontario bring the heat.

​You've all put in the years, the practice, and the dedication, and it’s paying off in a massive way. We know the whole team is going to dominate at Nationals.

Huge congratulations to both teams—Rob Donnelly & Ashley Gilbert, and JM Legault & Zandra Charbonneau—on making the stage for Mixed Doubles at the EODA Provincials! A massive shoutout to JM and Zandra for taking home the win! 🏆🎯 It was absolutely awesome to see 3 out of the 4 players up there rocking Porter's Darts and Apparel Designs shirts. Shoutout to Pat McCriag on the chalk, too! You should all be incredibly proud of how you played. Great darting!
