Case Study - Hologram Mapping on Miniature

Client: Government Chinese Medicines Testing Institute

Holographic animations are projected onto detailed physical miniatures, including a Chinese Herbal Shop and a Bone Setting Clinic. The Chinese Herbal Shop presents the origins of traditional Chinese medicine in Hong Kong, inspired by Sheung Wan Ko Shing Street, showing daily practices such as herbal dispensing and traditional tools. The Bone Setting Clinic illustrates the history of bone setting culture, clinic environments, and common treatment methods. My scope included concept development, storyboard, 3D modelling, animation, and miniature production. The installation combines physical craftsmanship with hologram visuals to convey cultural and medical knowledge in an intuitive and engaging format.

Case Study - Interactive Sport Games

Client: Hong Kong Science Museum

This project presents a series of interactive sport games developed for the Hong Kong Science Museum as part of Approaching Perfection exhibition, running from Oct 24 2025 to Feb 25 2026, in collaboration with Leovation. The installation includes Interactive Foil Fencing, Interactive Indoor Cycling, and a Body Composition Analyser. Visitors engage with real time gameplay through motion, timing, and physical input. My scope covered UI design, 3D modelling, animation, game development, system integration, and on site installation. Accessibility was considered, with a dedicated fencing mode designed for wheelchair users. The project combines sports science, digital interaction, and immersive media to create an engaging educational experience for the public.

Cases Study - Hologram AI Financial Assistant

During the Hong Kong Fintech Week 2024, YF Life Insurance brought us the hologram AI Financial Assistant. Visitors can just simply answer 3 questions guiding by the virtual assistant, the machine generate different financial figures for reference. We are glad to work with the event agency UltraMaker and participated the whole progress from concept, styling, shooting, animation, programming and installation.

Case Study - Gesture recognition delivery truck

This interactive game released to public in the exhibition "Glorious Voyage" from Hong Kong Science Museum. Players can control the mini motorized truck by gesture recognition: "paper" for move forward, "stone" for rotation, players can also lift and lower the robotic arm to carry the obstacles to specific destinations. We are glad to participated the UI design, programming and installation. Players from age 8 to 20+ can benefit in experiencing how gestures can collaborate with electronic devices.

Case Study - Mobile Projection Platform

To solve the pain point from Yoho Mall, the wayfinding platform has been installed at one of the main pathway nearby the train station exit. We created the interactive content of maps, directories, features as well as most necessary information for shoppers. This projection platform (kiosk) is movable and easy to rebuild for relocation. Users can just select their required from a tablet beside the platform, they can explore the details such as locations, event, parking especially the topics of pet and bike. Client (Yoho Mall) can update the information of events by the CMS.

Case Study - 270° Immersive Showroom

To make good use of the 270-degree Immersive Room and maximize the benefit the immersive experience, we propose to tell the story by (1) Aerial view, (2) 1st-person-view and (3) 3rd-person-view. To deliver the message of “Thriving Day in HSITP”, we created the CG characters and record their daily life from wake up till the end of day.

In this project, we handled the storyboard, art direction, 3d-modelling, cg-animation, video editing.

Case Study - Animation interacted with Stage Performance

We worked with the agency Jaxon Event for the Chinese University of Hong Kong's 60th anniversary banquet. The animation was as a part of performance durning the banquet, was shown in multi-screens in main stage as well as foyer. The content of animation collaborated with the dancers, depicting the nostalgia of school life in CUHK, recall every alumni's memory.

This hologram is a 4-side-view display and the videos are interacted with different lighting sequences on the master plan (Northern Metropolis District).
