I know I’m not supposed to have favourites… but working with Karen Hamou was up there. Karen works with high-potential MBA and graduate applicants around the world to help them secure admission to the most selective programs - and the level she operates at is exactly what her brand needed to reflect.

Direct. Meticulous. Strategic in the way that actually moves outcomes.

Her story is what makes it:
Growing up in Miami, she was told applying early decision to Columbia “wasn’t realistic.”
So she did it anyway. And got in.

That perspective now shapes how she works with every client - no templates, no one-size-fits-all, just sharp strategy, real reflection, and ex*****on that opens doors.

Bringing that into her brand and building a digital presence that matches the caliber of her work was such a good challenge.

You can find her at karenhamou.com and a big thank you to for connecting us!

Custom postcard print design for

We extended her updated palette + typography into a piece she can actually use - for client touchpoints, showhouse moments, and those little details that make a brand feel considered at every level!

Updated brand + custom website for - Long Island Interior Design Studio.

When Rachel and I first met, she was mid-swatch pull and walking me (via zoom) through a showhouse she was working on - immediately clear her world is rooted in color, texture, and a really strong point of view (which the designer in me loves).

She came in with a logo she loved, but needed the rest of her brand and site to rise to meet it.
We refined her brand and built a custom website that reflects how she actually designs - collected, expressive, and deeply considered.

Meet Lauryn Koke.
When reached out, she didn’t want louder. She wanted sharper. More intentional. More her.

In a market saturated with gold foil scripts and overworked monograms, we chose a different approach - a brand mark that feels established. Print goods that feel weighty in your hand. A palette that nods to the coast without screaming beach house.

There’s something I love so much about subtlety - especially in a luxury Long Island real estate market.

This project reminded me how much I love designing for women building serious businesses. The tiny decisions that no one really notices but can absolutely feel.

Life is stressful enough, working out doesn’t have to be - I drive our daughter Isla out to every month or so for physio. She’s a competitive dancer and when she spends less than the ideal amount of time rolling out her muscles we end up back here with Aneeka.

“Just outside the city, your workout feels different here. Fresh air. Wide-open spaces. Animals grazing nearby. This is where fitness meets nature, and where showing up feels less like a chore and more like a retreat. From yoga and energy classes to circuit training and farm fitness, every class is designed to move your body, quiet your mind, and keep you coming back — not because you have to, but because you want to.”

Creating copy for this site felt so real - not that copyrighting doesn’t normally feel real but because I could picture it, feel it - what it’s like to drive past farms and very few cars on our way to a beautiful space that feels grounded in design and in services.

There’s something I really love about designing for movement studios - the idea of creating something beautiful that translates into the digital and physical space. The idea of transformation through movement and hard work has forever appealed to me and it was a joy to bring their new website to life.

Aneeka came over on a Saturday morning last summer. We sat in my backyard on the porch and talked about - how she and her husband Chris had made the leap and built this business together, how it’s grown and evolved through the pandemic and to now - the platforms they’ve used and their pain points, the website they had and what they wanted from a new site. We also talked about jewellery, travelling with children and possibly even clothes.

Aneeka wasn’t a new client - I worked with her a year (or maybe two) ago on and I kind of wish all project kick offs started in this way because business is never just business for me - I work the best when there’s a little bit more to it.

Maybe that’s why I built out the new site while in a beautiful airbnb in Quebec. It was one of those designs that came so easily to me and I love how easy to navigate the new site feels.

Forever appreciating surprising design. There’s something thrilling about the risks taken in restaurant bathrooms. How the rest of the restaurant can ooze a calm sort of confidence but then you pop into the loo and it’s a whole other universe.

And while I’m (mostly) not designing interiors these days - I will always comb through my camera roll when a new project lands in my queue. A sea of quickly snapped pics, messy screenshots and photos of the insides of magazines (one of my favourite places to pull from when designing a website section).

Design projects for summer are underway.

From concept — to in hand. The kind of updates I love reading:

“Just wanted to send you a fun update! We have placed our initial order for business cards and love them. We are also in the process of taking pre-orders for a limited merch drop! We are getting such great support from people ordering hats, shirts, crewnecks and tote bags!”

Business card design for - and a closer look at the brand colours.

The palette was designed to feel equal parts bold and grounded, reflecting a studio built on conviction, collaboration, and long-term creative partnership.

Brand identity design for - seasoned producers Nic, Malachi, and Lauren came together to form a newly independent production company built to take on larger-scale projects with global reach. Although genre-agnostic by intention, Area V5’s bread and butter lives in the horror, thriller, and fantasy spaces.

Always a good sign when a team knows exactly who they are and isn’t afraid to let the details (like this pink hat) have a little fun.
