From vineyard wellness to community fundraisers and blooming gardens, there are plenty of ways to make the most of the weekend in the Okanagan.
A Summerland barber is taking on an ambitious 24-hour haircut marathon in support of youth mental health, bringing the community together for an inspiring cause.
Over in wine country, a local winery is inviting guests to Sip & Stretch among the vines, combining movement, mindfulness, and a glass of Okanagan wine in one picturesque morning.
And for those looking to slow down and soak in the season, a guided stroll through Summerland’s ornamental gardens offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the Valley in full bloom.
However you choose to spend it, this is your reminder that some of the best experiences are happening right here in our own backyard. 🍷🌸☀️

Before the rhinestones, the lashes, and the spotlight, drag and burlesque existed as rebellion disguised as spectacle.
For performer Cinda Citron, performance is more than entertainment, it’s expression. A place where q***rness, theatricality, humour, resistance, and unapologetic selfhood collide. Loud, glittering, imperfect, powerful.
Join Cinda alongside an incredible lineup of q***r performers for Drag Brunch hosted by Dunnenzies on June 7th at noon for a celebration of artistry, individuality, and showing up exactly as you are. ✨

A little sunshine, a little nostalgia, and a playlist made for the open road.
Whether you’re winding along the lake, chasing a weekend adventure, or just stretching out the long way home, this month’s 10 spot is here for the ride; packed with classics, easy singalongs, and feel-good tracks worth turning up.

From cul-de-sac to open road.
Mackenzie once built the life she thought she was meant to live; the house, the routines, the full calendar, the steady rhythm of “settled.” Until it all started to feel heavier than it looked from the outside.

So her family made a shift: a 40-foot motorhome and a life rebuilt in motion.

What they’ve found isn’t less stability, it’s a different kind. More connection, more presence, and a redefinition of what “home” can be.

There are moments that quietly divide a life in two — before and after.
For Casey, before everything changed, life was ordinary. A childhood still unfolding, stitched together with small, familiar things.
And then everything shifted.
What remains is her strength, now carried forward in small beads strung into bracelets, each one a quiet reminder of connection, meaning, and change, helping support Agur Lake Camp and its accessible wilderness experiences.
