π This year marks our 10th year as an agency.β£

10 years of sleeves-rolled-up, pencil-to-pixel, whiteboard-mapping, performance-tracking, talent-tapping, client-collaborating, pioneering work.β£

π· Early on, creative problem solving had its axis on the 2-dimensional screen with things like photos, videos, copywriting and brand ex*****ons. But beneath and outside of it all were worlds that intersect the screen in powerful ways.β£

As the world of tactical function "under-the-hood" has evolved for us, this opened up a new playing field for creative strategy. β£

Use of pixels and tags like sensors offered visibility into the effectiveness of in-market creative like never before. Real-time, closed-loop, data feedback provided opportunity for the optimization of campaigns in otherwise impossible ways.β£ π

Pairing this with the ability to produce our own creative assets felt a bit like being able to 3D print exactly what was needed for campaigns. The opportunity to reverse-engineer more of what's working and prune back what's not. β£

This level of ex*****on involves more than the typical checklist of marketing deliverables, requiring an understanding of the product, market and audience in deeper ways. Naturally, the more invested we become, the more opportunities there are to produce stronger results. Which has led us to be more selective about who we work with long-term with retainer clients in an ongoing capacity.β£

π₯ In retrospect, if there was something we'd time-machine back to tell our 2012-year-old-selves it would be these 3 things:β£

3) Take the time to learn the tech. Hard & software rates of innovation are only going to offer more advantages to those who know how to use them. The cycles necessary to scale a good idea are going to compete faster than ever. Expect ideas to move quickly.β£

2) Look for important problems to solve. There are no shortages of projects to work on. Use discretion and aim for ones that will help address meaningful problems that help bring restoration and hope to the world.β£

1) Work with people you respect. Making a vision come to life requires pages from both of your life stories. Make them count. Bonus if you enjoy and are inspired by their company!β£
