3 tips for feeling confident on camera:
1. Dress for the camera.
Avoid busy patterns and heavy accessories. Keep it comfortable and keep it you. When you feel good in what you’re wearing, that confidence comes through the lens.
2. Remember to breathe.
Stepping in front of a camera can trigger a shot of adrenaline. Take a moment, reset, drop your shoulders, and get present. One breath can change everything.
3. Give yourself something to think about.
The camera reads your thoughts. If you’re in your head going “where do I look, what do I do with my hands, is this my good side” we will see it in your eyes. Find a thought that matches the mood. Sink into the moment or pull up a memory that makes you feel exactly how you want to look.
Bonus: Find a media team that will meet you where you’re at and help guide you through the process.
